William Mangieri is a karaoke junkie, former theater student, and recovered wargamer who spends as much time wondering "what if?" as "why not?". He writes from Texas, where he and his family live at the mercy of the ghost of a nine-pound westie.William writes mostly speculative fiction (that’s science fiction, fantasy and horror), although he also has a detective series with a soft sci-fi element (Detective Jimmy Delaney.) The Collective was ALL.

Abbe felt the hum of it around him as he sat in his forklift, and the comfort and reassurance of belonging spread into every fiber of his being. His smooth, orange skin glowed with the electricity of it. He closed his eyes and savored the inner glow; he knew that – no matter what - he was ready for whatever came his way.

You look rather pleased with yourself, Abbe.

He didn’t need to open his eyes to know who it was; Abbe felt the power flux of Cabe, the Receiving foreman.

It’s a great day to be a part of The Collective, Abbe said.

And what else would we be? Cabe said.

Indeed – The Collective is ALL, Abbe said contentedly.
