About this ebook
Helen James is on her way home on the school bus. As she descends the stairs a blue haze wraps itself around her and takes her out of the bus and up away across the universe. It was not the Visitants Hyming but his younger sister Pyling who had come to collect Helen.
Pyling told her that Zacred, their leader, had cast Hyming and some of his friends out of the Visitants’ home cloud. It appeared that Zacred feared that Hyming was trying to take over the leadership. It started when Helen was voted in as the 5th ‘Good’, against Zacred’s wishes. It was Helen’s task to mend this broken relationship or the Visitants would cease to function.
Pyling should not have come all this way but no one else would. Towards the end of their journey to the cloud Pyling was having difficulty in protecting Helen which made Helen realise that there might be an empty place in class tomorrow. Helen spotted the cloud and steered Pyling to it but only just in time.
Could Helen get 2 headstrong beings to realise that they needed each other and that there was a place for both of them. They tried to trick Helen into believing that they could work together. It might have worked except one of the elders whispered in Helen's ear.

Preface
When you spend all your time living in a family group and mix with no one else, things can sometimes get into a bit of a mess. However much you may love or care for those around you the sheer pressure of not being able to get away can drive you to distraction. The longer the group stays as one entity the bigger the problems can become and this is how it was with the ‘Visitants’.
For eternity the ‘Visitants’ had been patrolling the Universe. Their task is to identify any Galaxies, Star Systems or Planets which are on the point of destruction and to stop it from happening.
To put things right they have found five ‘Goods’ and it is the task of the ‘Goods’ to correct things.
As far as Zacred, the leader of the ‘Visitants’ was concerned, everything started to go wrong when one of the most experienced ‘Goods’ passed away. Zacred knew that the optima number of ‘Goods’ was five and so a search was undertaken across the universe to find a new ‘Good’.
Zacred sent out 4 experienced members of the family, each to find 6 names of potential ‘Goods’. Before the 24 names went to the selection committee Zacred, Lyking and Weting narrowed it down to just 4 names to put before the final selection committee.
Zacred was against 8 year old Helen James from Earth but he was out voted. It was then that Hyming joined to make the final selection.
As the others had already been through the names, Hyming was handed the reports on the 4 before them.
Of those listed 8 yr old Helen James came instantly to Hyming’s attention. To Hyming, together with Lyking and Weting, this young being had the true inner goodness that they looked for. Zacred was against this selection but he was out voted for a second time and Helen James was selected as the replacement ‘Good’. Zacred did have the power to remove anyone from being a ‘Good’ provided that he had just cause.
At every chance he had, Zacred used this new ‘Good’ for tasks that he thought she would fail at but she had succeeded where others would have failed.
Chapter 1 - Exams can change your world
Helen James had now aged a year since her last encounter with Hyming and the ‘Visitants’. Secretly she had hoped that Hyming would come to her 10th birthday party but she knew it was not possible. Hyming had more important things to do across the universe than come to her birthday party.
Her mum and elder sister Jenny had worked hard and given a good party for her and her school friends. Unlike most of her friends whose parents had good money coming into the house and so could pay for expensive parties at various local attractions, Helen’s mother could only afford an old fashioned party with cakes, sandwiches, jelly and ice cream. Helen and her friends played games and listened to music. It was not the same as going to shows or steam train rides but she was lucky in that her closest friends understood and didn’t make fun of her.
Helen was beginning to think that all her trips across the Universe had just been dreams. For a while she had felt needed and important but now she felt rejected.
It was much like the feelings she had when her father had died in the car accident, a few years ago. Then she felt he had left her on her own, with no one to talk to and tell her innermost secrets. Helen may not have told Hyming her secrets but she had felt safe when he was wrapped around her.
At school it was an important day for Helen. These were the first mock tests leading up to next year’s final tests that could very well decide if she was to go to the Church-in-the-Woods Academy. To Helen it was important she attended this academy as they offered the range of subjects she needed if she was to be able to attend Cambridge University.
But first she had to get ready for school and that was not easy in a house with three women all needing to use the only bathroom in the house, at the same time. Being the youngest Helen was always relegated to using it last, even if she managed to beat them into the
