Ode to Jesus Christ: Poems by Darl Dinger and Louise Carter: Ode to Jesus Christ, #3
By Darl Dinger and Louise Carter
()
About this ebook
Ode to Jesus Christ is a three volume set of poetry books totaling 415 poems in all, authored by Darl Dinger and his friend, Louise Carter, over the past 36 years.
Anyone paying attention today can see that many things are not right with our world today. Our world is ruled by lies, greed, endless corruption, wickedness and sin. These two poets make sense out of this unusual era in all of world history known as the final days of the end times of Bible prophecy. They offer solace, wisdom and healing solutions for those struggling to make sense out of our world gone mad. This volume, Volume Three, contains a final 142 poems touching on man's sinful nature, our shared and desperate need for a savior from ourselves, and the healing that only comes from genuine confession, repentance and a turning away from the wrongs we have done to others that inevitably result in broken relationships, loneliness and pain in our lives. The path to healing and eternal life only comes through faith (trust) in Jesus Christ, the son of God, who came to earth to testify to the truth and to pay the price we all deserve to pay for our sinful ways so that those of us who can and who do, might live in right relationship with God forever in a new earth free from sin and pain.
These poets repeatedly point the way to life's wisdom through reading and obedience to the commandments of God's word, the Bible, in its entirety. Listen to these wise, humble and godly sages whose poems talk to our hearts. Hear Darl's Holy Spirit-inspired warnings of a watchman on the wall that while we still have time to turn to Christ as lord and savior over our wills and our lives, that time is now very short.

Ode to Jesus Christ - Darl Dinger
Forward
Darl ordered a copy of my ground-breaking book, Making Sense Out of a World Gone Mad: A Roadmap for God’s Elect Living in the Final Days of the End Times, earlier this year. In early June I first spoke by phone with Darl and we both instantly recognized how much we share in common in terms of our committed Biblical Christian faith and our shared understanding that we are living in the final days of the end times of Bible prophecy. It was during that first phone call that Darl revealed to me his penchant for writing poems. He even read a few of them to me over the phone. I was so taken by what I heard that I asked him to send me a few more for me to read. He told me that he has been writing poetry about his faith in and relationship with Jesus Christ ever since he became a born again Christian in 1982 and that he had written over 200 poems over the last 30 plus years, in concert with Louise Carter, a very dear friend of his and his wife, Barbara. After reading the poems Darl sent me, I proposed to him that I help him publish his poems so that others might be able to be blessed by them too.
This work of three volumes of Darl’s and Louise’s poetry is the result of this collaboration, which has been on a fast track to get completed as soon as possible. The reason is simple. As I reveal in my book, the great tribulation foretold in Daniel 12 and Matthew 24 for thousands of years is now over. This means that Yahushua (Jesus Christ) will be returning to gather the elect to Himself in the clouds in the very near future, as I prove beyond a reasonable doubt in my rather unusual and challenging book. These poems are intended for God’s elect to bless them. Darl and I are of the elect and we hope you are too. If not, sadly, these poems will not be of much blessing to you. These poems tell a story that the non-elect simply cannot hear.
When I first encountered Darl’s and Louise’s poems, 75 of them were in word processed form, but the remainder were still in handwritten form which I have entered on my own to speed up the compilation process to discover that we are working with over 300 poems that were simply too numerous to organize into a single volume. Hence, we have opted to split them into three volumes for easier handling and reading.
Darl and Louise met one another in church years ago and became friends when they discovered that they were both amateur poets. Darl’s wife Barbara and he took care of Louise during the last ten years of her life until she died in 2014. Louise always told Darl that she knew that he would have a book of his poems published one day and asked him to include some of her poems in it. Darl promised he would, but frankly, he never dreamed that his poems would ever be published. Now thanks to Darl’s years of creating his poems, and my editing, compiling and publishing expertise, that dream can now become a reality. I am blessed to be a part of that creative process for Darl, Barbara and Louise.
As you read these poems, try to see and hear them with your heart. I think you will find, as I have, that God has clearly inspired them through Darl and Louise to reach our hearts in these very troubling days in which we now find ourselves living. They offer hope, perspective and wisdom on what the elect are able to do to get right with God and His son, the Christ. I can honesty tell you that God inspired my book through me that speaks to the mind, but often a story or poetry, Inspired by God, can speak to the heart in ways that a piece of non-fiction writing can never achieve. May Darl and Louise’s gifts bless you and lead you closer to God and to Jesus Christ in these last days. Make way for the second coming of the Lord! Because He is coming very soon, whether we’re ready or not!
May the Holy Spirit move with power upon those who read this book. This is Darl’s and my fervent prayer. For where two or three are gathered together in the name of Christ, He is there in the midst of us.

Do You Want the Truth?
Now I’ve been a Christian
most of my life
I’ve shed many tears
I’ve seen much strife.
––––––––
When I was a preacher
the church taught me lies
they said I would be raptured
before I would die.
––––––––
Now I was a young Christian
I listened to their good news
they told me to respect
all the worldly Jews.
––––––––
Then I read in my Bible
or maybe it was a dream
but the Lord told me
to read 2 Timothy 2:15.
––––––––
Then I read in my Bible
the Book of Acts
I wanted the truth
I wanted the facts.
––––––––
I read in Acts
2:34-35
that is when I understood
my Bible came alive.
––––––––
Then I read Revelation
18:4
that was when the Spirit showed me
the worldly church is the whore.
––––––––
Then I read
2 Corinthians 6:17-18
I wanted to find out
just what the Spirit did mean.
––––––––
Now if you are playing church
and are trying to keep score
then quit renting that pew
and run out the door.
––––––––
My God looks on the heart
what more can I say?
Where will you stand
on that judgment day?
––––––––
Now this poem is written
to every woman and man
go read your Bible
then you will understand.
––––––––
Then you will know
you are a part of God’s little flock
be a witness for Jesus
because our God is not mocked.
Say What?
See the drunkard on the corner
why he was a Christian they say
he believed what his pastor said
then his soul went astray.
––––––––
He attended our church
his life was a mess
he was always smiling
so many people he did bless.
––––––––
He always read his Bible
he said the truth in there is found
he always studied the Bible
he was the talk of the town.
––––––––
Then one day he said
from the pulpit there are lies
telling everyone to follow the Jew
or they will surely die.
––––––––
Then the minister said
the government you must believe
they will relieve your fears
they will take care of your needs.
––––––––
All of the people
who attend this church
you will be raptured out
you won’t be left in the lurch.
––––––––
Now that old drunkard
his Bible he did read
said he couldn’t find a rapture
only money, power and greed.
––––––––
Now Jesus plainly said
that if in Me you will believe
I will release your fears
I will care for all of your needs.
––––––––
So why do we need a rapture?
That is the talk going around
if you speak against this rapture
everyone will put you down.
––––––––
Now, as for me, a believer
I will stand for Jesus Christ
I will continue to witness
because Jesus is my life.
––––––––
So stand for Jesus
and witness to the lost
yes, Jesus died for you
He paid the final cost.
The Book of John
Now the first miracle
that was done by Jesus Christ
was the wedding feast at Cana
for the bridegroom and his wife.
––––––––
The next miracle Jesus did
was the man with lame feet.
He told him to take his bed
and later they did meet.
––––––––
The miracle at the gathering
with only two fishes and five loaves of bread
He seated all five thousand
and everyone was fed.
––––––––
Then when the feeding was done
and the disciples they did leave
they fought against the angry waves
they saw Jesus walking on the sea.
––––––––
Then there was the adulterous woman
whom the Jews called a whore
there was no one without sin
Jesus told the woman go and sin no more.
––––––––
Then Jesus healed the blind man
it was plain for all to see
all who knew the man believed
except the Pharisees.
––––––––
There were Mary, Martha and her brother
Laz-a-rus was his name
when Jesus came to Bethany
it was to their house that He came.
––––––––
Now when Laz-a-rus died
it was such a shame
then Jesus went to Laz-a-rus’ grave
to bring glory to His Father’s name.
––––––––
Then Jesus went to Jerusalem
that was why to earth He came
when Jesus entered the city
many people believed in His name.
––––––––
Now many of the Pharisees
they wanted Jesus dead
He was destroying their power
or so the people said.
––––––––
Now if you want the rest of this story
and of how the victory was won
go and read your Bible
begin with the Book of John.
Growing Up!
When we were young
our bedroom was upstairs
every night our mother
would help us to say prayers.
––––––––
I remember those times
with so much loving bliss
these poems mom taught
went something like this.
––––––––
Now I lay me
down to sleep
I pray the Lord
my soul to keep.
––––––––
If I should die
before I wake
I pray the Lord
my soul to take.
––––––––
I still remember my prayers
with such loving joy
and of how Jesus loves
all little girls and boys.
––––––––
Mom taught another prayer
it stays in my head
I always remember it
when I go to bed.
––––––––
Five angels
around my bed
one at the foot
one at the head.
––––––––
One to sing
and one to pray
one to carry
my soul away.
––––––––
So mothers teach your children
about Jesus Christ
He is the way
the truth and the life.
––––––––
And mothers teach your children
how to pray
their prayers will guide them
as they go throughout the day.
Regrets
Sometimes we overlook the things
that are right before our eyes
we do the most stupid things
and then we wonder why?
––––––––
Now you take that woman
whose child she aborted fast
trying to forget the bad affair
trying to forget her past.
––––––––
But what of her baby
the cries she cannot hear?
She will go through life
haunted by that fear.
––––––––
Just a glob of matter
laying on a slab of steel
she tries to forget the child
regretful feelings, she can feel.
––––––––
Now you take the holy Bible
it is all covered in dust
she calls herself a Christian
but in Jesus she does not trust.
––––––––
So child, let me tell you
you must be born again
you must trust in Jesus Christ
He will cleanse you from sin.
––––––––
No matter your sin
no matter your past
Jesus will forgive you
only He can give you rest.
––––––––
Woe to those ministers
from the pulpit who tell their lies
they will spend time in hell
as their soul slowly dies.
––––––––
There are those who say, "Trust the Jew
you can believe their lies"
They are the very ones
who support the Anti-Christ.
––––––––
Jesus is the one to believe
only He paid the cost
He is the one who died for you
as He hung upon that cross.
––––––––
Many so-called Christians
are following this worldly whore
they reject Jesus’ words
in John 8:44.
––––––––
So people let me tell you
you don’t have time to lose
you had better warn your children
about these worldly Jews.
––––––––
They are destroying America
destruction is coming fast
you had better prepare
because you forgot your past.
––––––––
So listen, my people
open your eyes
if you follow the Jew
you will surely die.
––––––––
The Anti-Christ is coming
soon he will be on the scene
you had better know your Bible
to know just what I mean.
––––––––
So many times I have spoken
calling to fallen man
but you are dull of hearing
you don’t want to understand.
––––––––
Disaster is coming
you had better prepare
so many falsely hope
of being caught up in the air.
––––––––
This is another warning
that you
