Nimrod'
MAKE A TOY HOVERCAR
THIS toy glides along the floor, like the car of the future. The rollers underneath give the appearance of hovering.
Cut one of A (1/2 in. thick), one of B (1/4 in. thick), and one of C (1/2 in. thick). The rollers are 1/2 in. diameter round rod, and are pinned in the sections cut out of piece A. Glue the pieces together, round off, and paint.
Toy Pistol for Target Shooting
PATTERNS of plywood units that make up a toy firing pistol are presented full-scale on the opposite page.
Trace the main gun body (piece 1), and transfer the shape on to a panel of 3/16 in. plywood. Tack around the edges to a further panel of the same material, so that when the outlines are followed with a fretsaw, two identical members are obtained.
Drill holes through both pieces for the trigger pivot, and through the lugs under the barrel L.
