      GETTING A LITTLE CRAZY

      Post shower torment...

      I'm a white man out of all black university football team and it is the easiest of experiences.

      Today is a great example. The boys got a little rowdy in the showers and slapped me on the rear with one of the big towels that the cleaning service provides. Unfortunately, jimmy, a huge black man from South Carolina who everyone says is likely to play pro-ball, got a little too excited and here I am in the doctor's office with old man Harry applying a large plaster to the red skin of my injured rear.

      I don't know why they won't take to you, old man Henry says. You are a swell guy.

      I'm fairly sure that the only one that thinks I'm a swell guy around here is Henry and head coach. All of the rest of them think of me as that lanky white guy on the support team. I don't think I'm ever going to be able to play in a lead position on team if things keep up as they are.

      I step outside of the doctor's office and find Jack waiting. He's a little younger than me and on the support team as well. I take just a little pleasure in looking over his fine dark skinned features. I've never really been one for black boys, but I'd gladly make an exception for Jack.

      The trim handsome young man smiles, his teeth a blazing white framed with lips the color of milk chocolate, and greets me with a firm slap on the shoulder.

      I had they gave us a good walloping,

      Jimmy got a little crazy. That's all.

      Jack slaps me on the ass right where the bandage is and I groan in agony.

      Seems like it wasn't a little crazy but maybe more like a lot,
