About this ebook
Roderick is an average student at Wentworth Academy for Children with Special Powers, an exclusive school for children with super-powers that is sealed off from the public in a remote mountain range. Roderick has the power of invisibility, and is best friends with the famous Ezra Stone, a boy who can manipulate blue fire. Rod and his friends feel shadowed by the prowess of Ezra, who is noticed even by all the professors, and gains fame when he saves the entire school from a deadly spider that the school tries to hide down in the forbidden catacombs.
Then one day Roderick gets the chance of a lifetime: When the school is suddenly under attack by a vicious dragon, Rod miraculously discovers the only magical sword that can defeat it. The school is under attack, the professors are in a panic and Ezra is suddenly nowhere around to help. Do Roderick and his friends have what it takes to defeat a monster that is as big as the mountains?

Character Descriptions
Ezra Stone – He is an eleven-year-old black-haired student who can manipulate blue fire. He looks very pale, has a nice face and his clothes are very tidy. He is very intelligent, even though he is extremely modest, very eccentric and also quiet. He will usually only open up to Rod, yet he spends time showing off his intelligence to the professors while impressing them. He is very impressionable, yet difficult to understand (and he’s stubborn).
Roderick Roach – He is also eleven, with fire-red hair, freckles and dresses in an untidy uniform. He has the power of invisibility. He is not very cleanly, but very friendly and humble. He only likes simple things, as well as things that are fun, and he fantasizes about being something big and is very adventurous.
Lily Parkfield – She is a young girl with light-brown hair, has a very pretty face and has one blue eye and a green eye. She has the ability to create invisible force-fields. She always has a book in her face, and is very serious and stern about learning. She always tries to be as good a student as Ezra, even though she is always second- best compared to him. Above all, she is serious about controlling her powers and hates it when Roderick tries to talk to her.
Darian Blackwater – A blond-haired boy with big, black-rimmed glasses who is very self-absorbed and hates Ezra only because he is his biggest rival. He can manipulate red fire. He is very sharp-tongued and comes from a rich and proud family. Because of this, he is very arrogant and conceited. He has no interest whatsoever in Roderick except to make fun of him. As a student he is intelligent, yet his actions speak for him. He is seen a lot with his two lackeys who obey his every command.
Kai – A robot made to look like a boy and is an experiment the school makes (possibly by the faculty to show off their skill?), and at the moment has no powers. He is very shy and rarely opens up to others. He has a solid blank stare, very serious-looking, and moves and speaks mechanically, yet he has enough intelligence to function with Ezra and the others.
Mikhail – A small Russian boy who can make copies of himself, and is very playful and energetic. He has black or brown hair, looks pale and has a big nose. He is most notable of
