You're a mom, you're busy all the time, and now you're planning a birthday party! Can things get anymore stressful?! 

Stress is just a part of raising kids, because not only do you have to deal with the challenges that comes with parenting (ie. school, grades, crazy schedules, keeping yourself from yanking your hair out), but you also have to contend with competing priorities like your career, family, maintaining your home, bills, and so on.

I'll admit to one of these mishaps; I was helping a friend plan a birthday party once and we were so focused on the decorations, the party entertainment, and making sure guests arrived that we completely forgot to send someone to pickup the cake! I thought my friend was going to pick it up, and she thought I was going to pick it up. In the end, it worked out but it could have been disastrous! 

Its great to have a plan in your head, but its even better to have a carefully laid out plan to help guide you even if this isn't your first birthday party. Here is the bottom line:
