About this ebook

This book of poetry was written to encourage persons to make the right decisions based on the Word of God. It emphasizes that obedience to God yields the abundant life. Jesus said in John 10:10, “I am come that they might have life and that they may have it more abundantly.” My prayer is that the simplicity of the poetry will enable people to comprehend the meaning intended.

    DEDICATION

I first dedicate this book to God and thank Him for calling me to do it. I ask for forgiveness for waiting so long to follow His direction. This is a revision of a previous publication.

I thank my husband for his support. He also likes to write.

I am grateful to my parents, Rev. Elbert and Erma Stubblefield, for having reared me in a Christian home. My father was pastor of Mt. Herman Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas for 20 years. The seeds were planted and are sprouting. Frankly, I am the prodigal daughter who returned home.

I am appreciative to my pastor and church, Dr. Tony Evans and Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, for the teachings and support that I receive there. It is so inspirational to always hear an uncompromising gospel. The Evans family is also a great role model.

I would also like to give a shout out to the ministry training that I received at Friendship West Baptist Church, where Dr. Frederick Douglas Haynes, III is the pastor. Dr. John Wilson, III, the program coordinator, along with Rev. James Fitzgerald, did a stellar job in teaching the principles that should be followed by those going into ministry. I now minister to women and children, as God has called me to do.

I appreciate the editing done by my long-time friend, Marie Hudson.

My son, Anthony Pete, was wonderful in assisting with the technical aspects of this book.

My thanks also to authors, Michelle Stimpson and Jeaninne Stokes, for helping me hone my writing skills.

    NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR

Decisions, decisions, decisions...how life-forming they are! What decisions have we made that we would love to snatch back? What kind of havoc have they caused us? And
