About this ebook

In this part of the Bible Study Lessons Part 1, We’re going to look at the lives of most of the women mentioned in the Bible. We get an intimate look into the lives of some, but others are only mentioned by name.
No matter how much or little we read about them, however, you can be sure God made sure they were mentioned for a reason. And that reason is for us to take notice of their lives and learn from them.

    Foreword

We don’t have to look far or look for very long to see the mess this world is in. Greed, violence, persecution, dysfunctional families, and the fact that society is making a mockery of God’s Word and his desire for his people are everywhere we turn.

We could sum up the reason all these things are happening with one simple word: sin. But more precisely, these problems are the result of the Church allowing these things to permeate the physical walls of the church building as well as the walls of our hearts. For the past fifteen to twenty years the Church has been so focused on numbers, making people feel good about themselves, and having the program(s) that are the most fun, serve the best food, and play the best (code for loudest) music. The problem with this mindset is that:

God doesn’t want the Church to be about the business of making people feel good about themselves. God wants the Church to be about the business of bringing people to a life of obedience, faith, and identifying with Christ. Only then can we really have something to feel good about.

God isn’t about programs. He’s about the cross and the sacrifice
