Cheat Sheet
Introduction
I almost didn’t write this book. In fact, every time I opened up a document and started to type, I would click the X in the top upper corner and close without saving. I knew that by writing this book, it would force me to relive parts of my past that conjure up feelings of sadness and pain.
It would also force me to put those painful parts out in the open for everyone to know, even though I had buried them deeply away for years. I also know that if I wrote this book, it would help many people who are in the same situation I was in years ago and maybe it might save a life or two.
That’s why I’m writing this book.
Because it’s not about me anymore, I’m no longer trying to victimize myself. It’s about you, the problems you’re facing, and how this book can help turn your life around. It’s about getting better and feeling better everyday. If there’s anything that I believe strongly in, it’s that everyone has a right to be happy.
Everyone has a right to live the life they want to live.
In all my books I always include a few personal stories to reinforce the point I’m making. However in this book, you’ll get to read even more personal stories that are very near and dear to my heart. The fact that I am able to share it with you today is a testament of how far I’ve come and how much I’ve grown.
I hope one day I can read one of your stories too, because then I’ll know you’re in a much better place.
The techniques in this book fall into one of these three major categories:
Letting Go of The Past: Helping you move on from any mistakes, regrets, or unwanted feelings you may still be holding on to.
Embracing Who You Are: Helping you come to terms with who you are, loving yourself, and being happier overall.
Turning Your Life Around: Focusing on the changes and actions you need to take your life by the horns and completely change it around.
Like I said before, everyone has a right to live the life they want to live. It doesn’t matter what your background is, what kind of upbringing you had, or where you are in life now. If you are determined to get better and be better, then you always have a fighting chance.
I’m not a doctor. I don’t claim to be an expert. I don’t have advance degrees in psychology, psychiatry, or anything behavioral. What makes me like you is that I’m just a regular person who’s made his share of mistakes in life.
I know what it’s like to wake up every morning and wishing the crappy life I lived was a dream. I know what it’s like to drive to work and not mind if a car happened to run me over. Most importantly, I’ve been to hell and back and I’ve got an important message for you.
I know what it takes to turn your life around
I used to hate reading motivational quotes. I hated it with such a passion. Every time I read a motivational quote, I really felt like throwing up. How could anyone who was suffering read a quote like Don’t Worry, Be Happy
and expect things to magically get better?
Motivational quotes felt like such a scam to me. I used to think that motivational quotes were manufactured like how fortune cookies are manufactured; just pumped out in volume with no real substance or meaning behind them.
It wasn’t until I finally turned my life around that I came to appreciate them. When people started coming to me for advice, I would help them based on
