Sailing Through Adversity Radiant - J Asheley Brown
FALLING OBJECTS
So tired of pumping out
all the water from my well spring,
When you never replace a single drop,
A hopeless drought is all you bring
So tired of being your farmer
Tilling the soil and dropping seeds
I never ask for recompense,
You don't inquire about my needs
So tired of being your star
Working hard, shining enough for you and I
Your love and trust used to lift me
Now I'm falling
But I don't want to die....
MORE THAN A FEELING
It feels like I have always been waiting for you
But I don't know if you feel the same too...
do you yearn for me reaching out
and holding you close?
We laugh, joke, and play
but the truth is
this is not a game to me
Each time I close my eyes
I see a burning image of you
Imprinting, I'm printing
On you
that deep part of me
Yet it Seems so
