Christopher Carter is in court sitting at the counsel table waiting for Justice Naismith to come in to deliver judgment. Ordinarily Carter would be thinking some snide comment to himself about the lawyer’s robes he was compelled to wear, but not today. Today his thoughts are occupied by the big payday shortly to come the way of his client. And of his own, lesser, but hardly insignificant, payday.
