Chapter One.
Home Schooling 101
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Home schooling is not for everyone. It is not for those who look at it as a trend to follow or just a way to improve their child’s academic prospects. Home schooling is a long term commitment and should not be attempted by those who are unwilling to commit years to the task. For your children to take it seriously you must take to the task with all the seriousness and focus that you can muster. Your children must understand and believe that you are going to be the teacher for a long time.
You must understand the same thing. As well you will need to grow a thick skin. There will be people who will say that you are not qualified. That your children will be disadvantaged because they are not being molded by big education. There will always be voices telling you that it cannot be done or done better by someone other than you. The ones who are saying this would be happy to say that there are those who would be better parents to your children than you are if they believed that they could get away with voicing that. You are in the end the one who is responsible. You make the difficult decisions not just at one in the afternoon, but one in the morning. You are the meaning of home to your child. Home, health, shelter, happiness, food, rest, security and teacher even if you decide to send them off to public school. You children will always look to you to determine if what they were taught is right and true. As a home-schooling parent you will be the primary teacher in all areas.
Proverbs: 1: 8 - 9 Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. They are a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck.
Chapter Two
Basic Homeschooling Law
The hardest thing to explain is the glaringly evident which everybody had decided not to see.
-Ayn Rand
Home-schooling, for the people who are asking, is legal. Fifty states have allowed home-schooling and have offered laws to its utilization. They have unmistakable laws however and a part of the states oblige that you can show a records to prove that you're self-schooling your adolescents. There are a couple of ways you can keep record of
