About this ebook

This is a workbook, an interactive book. This book is easy to read and gets straight to the point without putting the reader to sleep. It stands above the rest because the points covered are directly from the word of God, the Holy Bible. As you look around this world, you will notice quite a lot of things happening, and many of you are wondering what is going on. You seek answers, and often times have nowhere to turn. At the end of each topic, there are reflections and activities for the reader to do. This book points out the love God has for the human race, and seeks to draw them to him. God will never turn anyone away, when they seek after him.

This book has four sections. Some of the topics covered in Section One are, The slaughter of the first sheep, Walking with the Lord, The rainbow of promise, Captured by the enemy, Under the protection of the enemy. In Section Two, some of the topics are, Who is Lucifer, Seven things God hates, Heaven sends a warning to earth, What is death? What happens after death, The Conflict between good and evil, Once saved always saved. Some of the topics in Section Three are, God’s Amazing Grace, God hurts when we reject him, When God forgets, When God calls your name, When God says no. Some of the topics in Section Four are, When Jesus comes again, What will be the manner in which Jesus returns, New heaven and a new earth.

The reader will find that there are people who proclaim to be Christians who are not a part of the true followers of Jesus Christ. The bible calls them wolves living among the sheep. The wolves represent the disciples of Satan while the sheep represents the children or followers of the Lord. This book gives examples of wolves and sheep. The Lord wants everyone saved into his kingdom, but there are those will reject the free offer of salvation, and will be eternally lost.

This book takes the readers using their imagination into the homecoming of Jesus into heaven after his resurrection from the grave, the response from the holy angels as they welcome their Commander and Chief Jesus Christ. This book offers those who have surrendered their lives to the Lord a glimpse of what heaven will be like for them when they finally get there, and of the New Jerusalem.

Verna E. MacKay

Verna was born on the beautiful island of Jamaica in the West Indies. She spent most of the years of her life in her adopted country, the United States of America. One of Verna’s favorite books to read is the bible. She believes Jesus is coming back soon, and wants to see as many people as possible accept the gift of salvation, Jesus Christ the Savior of the world, turn from their sins, and follow the Lord. Verna would like to tear Satan’s kingdom down, several souls at a time, while building up the kingdom of God. She prays that the books the Lord has given her to write will help you, and point you to the true treasure, the fountain of youth, the Lamb of God, whose blood can wash you whiter than snow.

    INTRODUCTION

This is a workbook. At the end of each topic there are activities, which include questions, true or false statements. Some of the topics covered in this book are The slaughter of the first sheep, Walking with the Lord, The rainbow of promise, Life among wolves, Captured by the enemy, Under the protection of the enemy, Watch out for moldy bread, Weeping for the wrong god, Beware a wolf among us, Wheat and tares, Beyond what we can see, Welcome home Commander and Chief, Excitement in heaven.

In this world in which are living, there are many pitfalls and dangers along the way. The world is becoming more hostile, violent and evil is at an all time high. There are evil groups springing up all across the world, and they have an appetite for evil continually. People’s hearts are failing them because many are anxious and afraid. They are uncertain about the future, and the devil seeks to destroy the human race.

The devil sets his sight on God’s people and tries to deceive them into following him. He pretends to be a sheep, but he is no sheep. He is a wolf dressed to appear like a sheep. He sends his evil agents to dress themselves as angels of light.

If Christians do not study their bibles, pray, completely surrender all to the Lord and seek the Lord they will not be able to withstand the devil in these evil days. As the branch is attached to the tree that brings forth good fruit, so Christians are to be attached to Christ, and claim his promises. Jesus asks us to keep his commandments, all ten of them, because he also kept his Father’s commandments.

    Jesus The Good Shepherd

Jesus is the good Shepherd who looks after his sheep, and they follow him wherever he goes. We keep God’s commandments not to be saved, but because we are saved, and we love the Lord. John 14:1 5. God’s commandments are not there to hurt us; they are there to help us. They are commandments of promise. We are to hide the word of the Lord in our hearts, and the Lord said he would write his laws in our hearts and in our minds. Hebrews 10:16.

We are to meditate on the word of the Lord each day, several times per day. We are to apply his words to our lives, and seek the face of the Lord. The Lord says he will keep his children in perfect peace, if we keep our minds centered on him. Isaiah 26:3. Jesus is coming back soon and when he returns he will separate those who are his from those who choose to follow the Devil. He promises that he is gone to prepare a place for us, a mansion where we will never have to pay rent or mortgage.

    Real Estate In Heaven

We will plant vineyards, build houses, and no one will be able to take it away from us. We have real estate waiting for us in heaven, no association fees to pay, no more heartaches, pain, and sorrow. There will be no more diseases, crying, death, or funeral services. Loved ones will never be separated again from each other. We will mount up with wings like eagles, (Isaiah 40:31) no more need for eye glasses, hearing devices, when we walk we will not get tired, when we run we will not wear out our joints. No more health issues to deal with, our bodies will be as the one Jesus had after his resurrection from the grave. We will know our loved ones and they will know us, just as Jesus’ disciples knew who he was after he rose from the grave. God’s children will say good-bye to this old sinful world, and welcome to the earth made new.

    The New Jerusalem

The New Jerusalem will be coming down from heaven to earth, and in it will be Jesus and the Redeemed, what a day of joy that will be. Revelation 21:2-5. Heaven where God lives will be coming to the earth made new. We will see how God created the earth, things we do not understand now will be revealed to us. We will forever be learning throughout the ceaseless ages. Let us make plans to be in the New Jerusalem, and to meet and greet each other in heaven. I look forward to seeing you there.

Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment. Ecclesiastes 8:5.

    SECTION 1

    SHEEP AMONG WOLVES

The Slaughter Of The First Sheep

In the book of Genesis, the bible records that after Adam and Eve sinned, they were driven from the Garden of Eden. The Tree of Life was in the garden, and the Lord did not want the couple to eat from it. They had to leave the beautiful paradise that the Lord had prepared for them. Had Adam and Eve eaten from the tree of life after they sinned, the human race would be in greater trouble. They would become immortal sinners, not being able to die, and this would not be good. Imagine someone suffering in anguish, in pain and agony, wanting to die and cannot get any relief. This is what Satan wanted to do to the human race. And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Genesis 3:22.

The first-born son of Adam and Eve was named Cain, and the other son was named Abel. Cain was a farmer, and he planted things such as fruits, herbs, vegetables, grains, and nuts. Able was a shepherd. Adam and Eve brought their sons up and taught them about the promise made in the Garden of Eden of a Redeemer who would one day come and save them.

They were to bring an animal sacrifice and sacrifice it to the Lord, for the remission of their sins. This animal sacrifice was to be without spot or blemish. Cain decided to be disobedient, and he thought that he could bring whatever he wanted as a sacrifice to the Lord, and the Lord would have to accept it. He brought the very best of what he planted and offered it as an offering to the Lord. He knew what was required of him and the reason why his very best, could not be fruits and vegetables.

The sacrifice that the Lord required pointed to the sacrifice of the Lord, who would one day come to earth as a baby, grow up just as we do and suffer the death we deserve. Sometimes we bring our very best to the Lord, but if the Lord gives us instructions of what to bring, and we are disobedient, then our best is not good enough. When the Lord gives us a command, we are to be obedient, and do what he commands us to do.

Able brought his offering of an animal to the Lord. The Lord accepted the offering brought to him by Able, and he rejected Cain’s offering of fruits and vegetables. …without shedding of blood is no remission. Hebrews 9:22.

Cain’s heart was bitter toward his brother Able. The pureness of Able’s heart and his obedience was a reminder and a
