GETTING INTO TABITHA BROWN’S BUSINESS: AN INTERVIEW

Who else scrolls the depths of Tabitha Brown’s TikTok page for vegan recipes, motivational quotes, and wholesome family content 25/8? The upbeat vegan influencer, actress, TV host, author, and entrepreneur has an infectious energy and spirit that wins over everyone in her path.

Over the years, Brown has excelled in her role as America’s Mom with her inspiring books, Emmy-nominated and NAACP Image Award-winning YouTube series for kids—Tab Time, vegan haircare company—Donna’s Recipe, and brand partnerships galore. Most recently, Brown launched a new journal—Seen, Loved and Heard. And, as always, she continues to roll out collections for her Tabitha Brown for Target partnership!

We connected with Brown to learn about her vegan lifestyle, family, collaborations, and more.

VegOut (VO): Can you share about the beginnings of your vegan journey? When were you first interested in eating plant-based? What were your thoughts about the first vegan meals you tried?

I was sick for a year and seven months—chronic fatigue, chronic headaches, chronic pain. The doctor knew it was something autoimmune attacking my body, they just could not figure it out. I decided to do a and within 10 days, a headache I'd had every day for a year and seven months disappeared. I was like, “I know I'm onto something!” After the vegan challenge ended, I was feeling better and decided, “This is gonna be my life. I'm gonna go vegan.”
