    1 - Crushed and Charitable

    It was days later and I was still processing the bombshell that Fitch had dropped. He had a crush on me. But with strong emphasis on the word had. As in he no longer did, as in my new job as a houseboy had ruined everything.

    The dark and twisty feeling in my stomach didn’t go away for a few days after I talked with Fitch. I just stumbled through my chores until I finally got it out of my mind. I mean, so what if he didn’t like me like that? At least I knew he was gay, well bi apparently, and we were definitely, solidly friends.
