Hi I’m Alex as you should well know by now. I’m glad you’ve been reading so far and it’s only going to get hotter, stickier and more complicated.

We rejoin the tale after my little falling out with Jack and the termination of my first contract. But things can only go up from here, right?

1 - Well, That Happened

From the moment I woke up I felt wrong. It was a combination of hangover, embarrassment and a deep, penetrating dread. Last night flooded back to me and I remembered everything had gone down with Jack at the party. There had been punishing silence on the way home and now where were we?

I grabbed my head when I sat up and looked around an unfamiliar living room. I was sprawled out on a large couch and on the coffee table in front of me was a note.

Had to go out and do some things. Make yourself at home, sorry things didn’t work out with Jack. xx Olivia.

Fuck. I remembered stumbling home with Jack, and banging on Olivia’s door while he went upstairs. God, what a disaster. I was glad Olivia wasn’t home now though I didn’t need to have to deal with her as well. I had really made a fool of myself the night before.

After pouring myself a big glass of water I sat down and took my head in my hands.

What am I going to do? I muttered, but being sorry for myself didn’t really help matters. I had ruined things with Jack after making a scene at Mr. Pratt’s party. Afterwards he had told me to get my things, but I hadn’t wanted to go back to the apartment with him.
