With the last touches of my make-up on, I stared at myself in the mirror, happy with my work. My make-up bag was spread across the counter, making a huge mess in the otherwise clean bathroom. I didn't care though. The mess was worth the feminine face staring back at me right now. I smiled at myself in the mirror, taking it all in before I finished my transformation.

My lips, glossy and pink, spread wide showing off a row of bright white teeth. Deep dimples dug into my apple cheeks, brushed with a touch of blush to bring out the swell of my cheekbones. A layer of foundation hid any imperfections of my skin, and the smoky eye shadow showcased my emerald eyes that pulled in compliments all day. With the addition of a pair of studded earrings, I looked just like the girl I was trying to be. I couldn't find a hint of the old me in the face in the mirror.

Not until my eyes drifted lower anyways. My smile faded when I saw the skinny frame of a man. Flat chested but with barely any muscle to call my own, my body existed somewhere between the ideal male and female form. I didn't feel like I fit in either world anymore, but I desperately wanted to claim to be one or the other. And right now, the feminine side of me was winning that battle.

My face was done, but I wasn't ready to step out of the bathroom just yet. I still had to get dressed. I wanted to look my best for what was going to happen tonight.
