"In a world where darkness is growing by the day, Dezso finds a creature of pure goodness and light in Iria, but things are never as simple as they seem. Iria gives up everything for Dezso, but will her sacrifice may not be enough.
~ RedReader
It had a nice balance between the mythical aspects and the erotic aspects. They meshed well together without overpowering the other or seeming out of place in the story. I would definitely read another book in this series if it were to be made.

PROLOGUE
~Meesh~
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always enjoyed a sweet treat now and again. I’ve never said no to an offer of something gooey, sweet and delicious. Not just any particulars either, since I have many favorites. I’m talking about anything and everything from cheese cakes to fruit tarts, cookies to rum cakes, chocolates to sour suckers and much more. That’s why when I hear from my brother that a new sweet shop is in town, I practically run to see for myself. Actually, I have to. Sweets are a weakness of mine and I can’t resist them—I need them in my life!
It’s not as if I really want to enjoy sweets as much as I do. I honestly, don’t have a choice in the matter. It’s all because of a curse that was placed upon me and my brother when we were very young in age.
We both were due to turn thirteen in only a few weeks’ time. Yes, we are twins. I’m the oldest by two and a half minutes. But my brother acts like an old man most of the time, so people tend to think I’m the youngest by years! I don’t get insulted by it. It actually makes me feel good. Mitch and I always wind up making jokes about it afterward and laugh the day away. It didn’t matter to us what others thought, as long as no one tried to separate us. We are one another’s strength and balance.
Thinking back to all those years ago—the day that changed our lives forever—transpired just a couple of days after our parents had a huge fight about things neither me, nor Mitch, my brother, fully understood or remembered…
CHAPTER 1
~Meesh~
Our dear father abandoned us deep in the woods, left us without a care—without a worry. How did he do that you ask? Well, he walked us deep into the forest, the deepest we’ve ever been. First he handed us each our own small pouch made from cheese cloth, each one holding some scraps of old bread and a couple apples. Then he pretty much gave us his back and walked away into the cavernous darkness of the woods.
I’ll never forget the last thing he told us that night, Don’t open the pouches until the sun sets. Make sure not to eat it all in one sitting. You need it to last you as long as you can stretch it. Do not call out to me, your mother or anyone else and DO NOT try to find me or your mother! This is all for the best. It’s what must be done right now, that’s all you need to know. So long children and be well.
Then, he walked away into the darkness. Not glancing back at us even once to make sure we were all right, or to see if we listened like he would normally have done after he gave us a demand.
No words of love or a promise to return, nothing.
My brother and I just stood there side by side, each holding our pouches and one another’s hands, staring at the place in the woods where our father disappeared into.
For hours and hours we both stood and stared, neither of us saying a word. Unknowing what was really happening and secretively hoping he’d come back to us. Not knowing what we should do or where we should go. Fear riding us both fiercely, since the sun had already set and we could not make out much of our surroundings. There was not much we could do but sit and wait. For what, we had no idea.
We continued to stay in the area our father left us for a few days. I believe it was a little over three, because that’s how many sun rises we counted until we ran out of food and the weather turned for the worse. One of the mornings, we woke up to a sapling being ripped out of the ground as a whirlwind of some kind carrying various debris passed right by us with an angry swish!
Slowly, the temperature kept dropping lower and lower in the evenings; not even our snuggling could stop the chills invading our bones or stop our teeth from chattering. We finally decided our father was definitely never coming back; this was not a test or prank as we had hoped and dreamed. So we began walking in the opposite direction to where our father walked off, still continuing to follow his orders by not looking for him or calling out to him or anyone else.
Eventually, during our trekking, we found a few nuts and berries that helped us keep up our strength for journeying further. We tried our best to keep close to the fresh water streams and brooks, so we never lacked for water to drink and at times, we were able to catch a fish or two to eat. But sometimes, it wasn’t always possible to stay close to the water due to various obstacles and a couple of dangers.
The forest seemed endless as we traveled on. Seven more days and nights of walking, sleeping on the moss covered earth, eating whatever nature would provide us with and all
