About this ebook
This story explores personal and family values as viewed from the perspective of a family's pet. It is written in a conversational style. One of the family's pet's recounts stories that he has experienced as a member of that family. These stories cover a wide range of experiences that children (as well as adults) will encounter through out their life.
Questions posed through out the stories to encourage the reader to think about their own experiences. This also provides an opportunity for an adult reading the story to a child to talk about these experiences. This is meant to set the stage for conversations about values and how to cope with some of the transitional episodes and life's challenges that all of us will experience.
It is written in a non-denominational manner as it deals with aspects of life, death and some of the mysteries of life.

Mister Trouble in a Cat Suit – The Joys of a Life Shared - Kevin Wood
Introduction
Hello. Come on in. Everyone is welcome in our home. The family is asleep on the couch. I just woke up myself. I was napping for awhile. I was watching the tree with all the lights. Amazing isn’t it they brought a tree into the house. Imagine that a real live tree right here in the middle of the living room. Usually you only find trees outside. But this must have been a special tree. I remember the day they brought it home. Let me tell you we where very surprised when the front door opened and there was this tree coming into our home. We all hid at first, then, I cautiously crept up to it and smelled it to make sure it was really a tree that was inside the house. After I discovered that it was safe the others joined me to investigate further.
The man of our home stood the tree up in the living room. The woman brought out boxes of little toys with strings and they hung them on the branches. They then strung little lights that twinkle on the branches. We like to play with the toys on the tree especially the ones we can reach. They even put some higher up in the tree. Those we have to stretch to reach. That makes it all the more fun. The lights are fun to watch. I think the lights are my favorite. I could watch them for hours.
Let me tell you that was a full day of adventure for us. We have a lot of adventures like that in our home. You never know what will happen from one day to the next. If you want why don’t you stay awhile I can introduce you to everyone and share with you some of the stories of our adventures. I find it best when you can share the adventures of your life with others. So settle back and make yourself comfortable.
The Family
Let me introduce you to the rest of the family. That’s Merlin on the floor he is the oldest of us cats, but he wasn’t always the oldest. Zeus, who isn’t with us, now, was the oldest. Zeus taught us many things which I’ll share with you if you stay long enough. That’s the other thing that we do in our home, we share and teach one another about the important things, like how to have fun and live a happy life no matter what comes your way, when to take naps – you know – the important things.
There’s my sister Athena curled up on the couch next to the woman. My brother Romulus is at the end of the couch under the Afghan. That’s where you can usually find him, asleep under the blankets. At the other end of the couch is the man of our home. He like the woman, are both taking a nap right now.
I had dozed off earlier. I was watching the lights and I started to dream. I dreamt that I had climbed to the top of the tree and that I was just getting ready to reach out for that big silver toy on the very top of the tree when the man reached up and stopped me. He lifted me out of the tree and set me on the ground. That’s when I woke up. Do you ever dream? Are they happy dreams? The ones I can remember are usually me having some sort of adventure. Maybe
