About this ebook

Healership is a state of Being that a person evolves into. When a person is in a state of Healership they are not only holding their own connection to Higher Self, but they are able to hold others as well. Healership is not a skill you learn, or a technique you repetitively practice until you get it “perfect.” It is a state of evolution, a state of maturity. You don’t learn it, you earn it. This book takes you through some of the principles of the Healing Process and introduces a deeper concept and understanding of what it really means to be in Healership.

The Art of Energy Healing Volume Five Healership - Susan Diane Matz

    Preface

Don’t let the name of this book fool you. It is not a How to Become a Healer book. No book can teach you that. Being a healer is a mixture of being born with healer symbols (meaning that your DNA is imprinted to be a healer), training, skill and learning. No matter how much of a natural healer a person is, they still require formal learning of some kind throughout their whole life. A healer is like any other Human Being, a perpetual student in life.

This book is a guidebook that encompasses things like practical information about being a professional healer, opening up a healing practice, pitfalls to watch out for, and further information about the overall process of healing and Energetic Dynamics. Following this series of books, there is another set of nine books under the collective title, The Healing Process. That series will take an even deeper look at each level involved in healing, both for client and healers, but again they are not training books for people who want to be healers. Books are learning tools. Real training is something you do face-to-face.

Being a professional healer is not a job to be taken lightly. It is not as simple or romantic as being born with a gift for healing. Like any job, it is work, very hard work. It requires focus, dedication, selflessness, maturity and the willingness to face the nakedness of both Self and others every single day. It is not a job for those who cannot look beyond their own issues. It is not a job for those too wounded to move on in their own personal life. Ultimately it is not a job at all, it’s a calling. A personal desire in wanting to be a healer and hearing the call from God is not the same thing. Don’t listen to your mind, it lies every day. Don’t listen to temptations, they fail you every day. Don’t listen to other people, they abandon you too easily. Find your own heart, dwell there, and experience the energy that is your Higher Self, and then, if you go deep enough, the energy that is God. Life is a path you create from this place; it is not something you follow.

    Love,

    First, Find God Within

Healing is not about some skill you learn, or an intuitive reading. Healing is not about fixing people, or giving them answers or even insights. These are all superficial, Shadow-based approaches to healing. Healing itself is when energy that is in Shadow shifts back into center, and becomes one in vibration with a person’s Higher Self energy.

A healer is someone who can connect to their Higher Self so deeply that they can consciously hold this connection for long periods of time. From this place of deep inner connection, a healer then connects into their client’s Higher Self. A healing involves the ability to hold your own conscious connection to Higher Self, then connect into someone else’s Higher Self, and stay in this alignment for an extended period of time.

Healing is not something you do with your hands, mind, visualizations or words. Healing is not a technique; it is a level of evolution that a person reaches within their own consciousness. You don’t learn to be a healer; you evolve into becoming a healer. It is not something you do, but rather something you are.

The process of healing is about awareness, specifically your ability to take your conscious awareness deeply into your center and be present not only with yourself, but another person or even a group. This is not just some skill that is learned. There are many levels of personal growth, personal evolution, that a person goes through to be at a depth where they can work as a healer. One of the first steps is realizing that you cannot truly connect to something you do not Know to be Truth for yourself. In other words, you cannot help someone else connect into God, their Soul and Life Purpose, if you cannot connect into your own. This would be like teaching someone to drive a car when you yourself cannot drive a car.

Healing is all about connection to God and soul, to your Higher Self and your conscious awareness. If you haven’t got your own connection and understanding of your Higher Self, you are not truly able to help someone else find this path. You may be able to learn some skill with your hands, but your heart and soul will not be present. This is not a real healing.

Anyone can say they believe in God, or say that they feel divine spirit, or any other name they want to give it, flowing through them. But saying it is usually just a person’s False Image spitting out something they read, or witnessed, or have fooled themselves into believing. Before you can have a healthy relationship with a healing client, you have to have a strong and healthy relationship with your own Higher Self. This includes your soul and God. You have to be able to experience your Higher Self on a regular basis. Daily, daily, daily spiritual practice is part of the package of being a healer. You practice spiritual connection until it is no longer something you practice, but something you are. It is here that a healer is truly a healer, when they have become their Spiritual Self.

This is why the road to Healership is often so long. It can take several lifetimes to form a strong conscious bond with your Higher Self. To consciously be aware of your Life Purpose and to feel it in all that you do, not just a statement that you channeled or someone intuitively told you about. Healing has almost become a fad at this time in history, trendy skills that people practice until they get it right and become the proficient healer with lots of successes. People take a few healing courses and run around calling themselves a healing master of some sorts. This is not real; it is the Light Shadow at its best.

My heart hurts, actually hurts, when I see people claim to be healers and then go work in a spa of some sort. Many Healing Centers are spas. You can get a healing, haircut, massage and facial all in the same place. This is tragic. There is nothing wrong with any of these individually, but together they demoralize healing. A spa is a calming, gentle place for relaxing and pampering. A healing is anything but. A healing involves deep personal commitment, connection, and both the ability and willingness to work with very dark aspects of a person’s being. This is serious, and very dangerous if taken lightly. Having a healing practice at the same place someone can get their hair done is equivalent to having someone doing manicures and pedicures in the same hospital room that open-heart surgery is performed. There is nothing wrong with manicures and pedicures, they have their place in the world, but it is like comparing apples to salmon when it comes to spa treatments and healings. They are two different worlds, and it demeans the depth, seriousness and sobering profoundness that are found in the True healing process when you align healing with a facial treatment.

A healing is not a passive, feel-good spa treatment. It is a gut-wrenching, life-altering, naked experience when done in alignment with a person’s Higher Self. It is not about feeling good, curing illness, or making things nice. It is not a place where people go into past lives and place all the blame for this life on somewhere else. It is not about bringing in light to wash away all your problems. It is about facing those problems and why you created them. It is about facing your false beliefs, dark choices, repetitive patterns, negative pleasure cycles, manipulations, passive/aggressive behaviors, defenses, lack of empowerment, victim mentality, denial, and what your personal responsibility in this life is all about. Healing is about facing the Truth, in all that you are and all that you do.

Before you can ever help someone else through this process, you have to go through it yourself. Many so-called healers do not, which is why they cycle in trying to save people, make things nice, make pain go away, cure illness, give psychic readings, avoid confronting their clients, and enabling their defenses. The profession of healing is a very confrontational one. Not aggressive or attacking, but definitely confrontational. In order to confront another, you confront yourself first. And this means connecting into your own Higher Self and being able to hear and face your own Shadow Self. This also means connecting into God.

Healing is not about fixing. It is about bringing in awareness that is connected to God. If a client goes to a healer saying that they have cancer, it is not the healer’s job to cure that cancer. They might not even be working on the cancer at all during a healing session. The healer’s job is to connect into their Higher Self and God, where understanding and awareness of what is going on, and what spirit is asking of the healing is brought forth. There is never an agenda in a healing, like curing cancer. There is only acceptance of what is, and connection to God and Higher Self to bring awareness and energy to that which is being focused on during a healing.

The rest of this book goes into more detail on the actual healing process. But know first, that to be a healer is to be someone who has gone on their own personal journey back to God. That you, as a True healer, are not just filled with technical knowledge or concerns about the healing process, but rather a strong bond with your soul and God. This is not a skill. This is a journey only each one of us can take individually. You can read all the books you want, attend lecture after lecture, school after school, but only when you go within on a regular and deep basis can you understand God and purpose for yourself. Information means nothing without understanding. And to understand God, you must experience your relationship with God for yourself.

Healing is only about connection to God. It is never about curing, fixing or changing. How can you hold God’s presence with someone if you don’t understand it yourself? You don’t need your eyes, your hands or your mind to be a healer. But you do need your connection into your Higher Self. Your own personal relationship with your soul and God is a part of being a True healer. Without this, you can learn to temporarily shift energy, give intuitive information and force a change, but none of it will be long lasting, and all of it will bring forth dark karmic consequences.

Before you begin a journey as a healer, you first start with a journey to God. All existence starts and stops here. All True healing does as well.

    Commitment

Before choosing to consciously work with another person and call yourself a healer, your Higher Self requires that you first commit to the life and path of a healer. This is known as being in Healership. Healership is a state of being, a deep inner commitment that you and your soul make. It is not something that you can learn outside of yourself, only something you can grow into and become, and then, only if it is part of your overall Life Plan.

Because healers are born, not made, it is not something you can just take a few classes for, or go to some healing school and poof, you’re a healer. You cannot simply take ‘How To Do It’ classes. No matter what skills you learn, skills themselves do not turn someone into a healer.

You have to evolve into being a healer, and the first step is to be in a state of Healership. And this is something you cannot choose alone; it must be part of your soul’s plan for being here, or no matter how much you choose to be a healer, your heart will not stay in alignment with your soul and God simply because it is not part of what you are doing in this lifetime. In other words, your mind and body can learn healing skills, but you will not be a True healer simply because it is not what God or your soul have in store for you during this life.

I emphasize that your heart will not be in alignment with your soul and God, because this is part of being in Healership. Your choices, actions, heart, soul and God must all be on the same path for anything to be in alignment with Truth, and to be in harmony with the universe. Many people will go off and become financially successful healers as a profession, but it does not mean that they are in Healership. Just because someone is financially or commercially successful in any area does not mean that they are on their soul’s path. It could easily be coming from darkness. Commercial and financial successes are not mirrors to see if you’re doing something from a Higher Purpose. Your Shadow Self, especially your Magician, will go to great lengths to ensure superficial success (money/fame), and to seduce you into believing that you are on the right track. Success from your soul level is not something that is measured so easily. Your soul defines success as living out your Life Purpose, which is not a job (cf. Volume Three).

Healership is a state of being where a person’s heart stays in alignment with their own Higher Self, including a conscious connection to God, while holding alignment with another person’s connection into their Higher Self and God. This process is actually very complex, requiring that a person be both aware of, and focus on, many things in the same exact moment for a prolonged period of time. This would be like saying that a person cannot drive a car until they physically grow big enough to have their feet on the peddles and look out the window. They also have to be able to understand the rules of the road, how a car is built, can build one themselves, can fully pay for their car in cash along with the insurance premiums, can intuitively connect to their car and communicate with it, can care for their cars needs, can understand the concept of freedom that having your own transportation brings, can understand death so that they can respect the power of driving, and are able to understand all levels of personal responsibility regarding driving and owning a car all at the same exact moment in time. And these are only a few examples of the awareness that a person is capable of as a driver. How many people drive every day, but cannot fulfill the above requirements? Most everyone. Just because you can do something does not mean that you are at a level of maturity to be doing something. A child can pull the trigger of a gun. It doesn’t mean they understand anything about guns, anger, death or personal responsibility. Many people become professional healers; few people are actually in Healership.

The process of Healership requires that a person’s conscious awareness be strong enough to stay in center with themselves and deep enough to hold awareness of more than just them. This is a very mature place to be. Before a soul enters into Healership, it has to explore things like spiritual connection, the teaching process, the learning process, the sciences, creation, individuality, group consciousness, dynamics of consciousness, templates, universal laws, paradigm dynamics, the evolutionary process, Shadow Self creation, dynamics of Soul Purpose, physiology, life cycles, and much more. There are twenty-four basic levels a soul has to have knowledge in before it can go into Healership. Again, anyone can be taught something from the outside in, like learning a skill, but it doesn’t mean that you have earned the right through natural evolution and maturity to be using that skill.

Even being born into Healership does not automatically mean that you can do healings. It all depends on where you are at in the overall process of Healership. Some people are born of souls just learning about healing, and are new to being in Healership. These people will have few to no skills developed, but may enter into the field of Energy Healing with a profound understanding and connection to God. Others can be born with many skills, or pick up technical skills in healing quickly, but have a poor connection to God and Higher Self purpose. In other words, their hands can do all kinds of things, or they can see all kinds of things, but they lack the ability to understand what is really going on. Again, just because you know how to do something, does not mean that you should be doing it.

With all this said, you may think, What’s the point of even trying to be a healer if 1) healers are born and 2) learning skills doesn’t mean that you are able to go deep enough into center to be in actual Healership? Well, like anything else in life, being a healer takes a lot of work. Just because someone is born a healer, does not mean that they don’t have a lot to learn. And just because someone can find and hold the focus in Healership, does not mean that they don’t have a lot to learn. It’s a very Light Shadow (cf. Volume Three) concept to believe that healing is a simple thing to do. It’s over-simplified to think that all you have to do is have an intention, or learn a skill, or bring in some color or sound and somehow healing just occurs. We are all here learning, including healers. Your responsibility is to understand your motivation behind wanting to become a healer, and where you are in your own process of Healership.

So many people go into healing for quietly hidden dark reasons. Superiority, specifically playing God and believing that you’re somehow more enlightened or better than other people, is the most common unhealthy reason people are drawn to the healing arts. The superiority may not be obvious, but it is in the majority of healers you will meet at this time on the planet. True healing requires selflessness and dedication to a Higher Purpose. This requires that a person work through most of their False Image, especially their Defense System, and quite a bit of their own wounds and inner child needs. When you are in a healing as the healer, your personal issues are not to be worked out. This means that it is about the client, not you, during a healing session. Understanding yourself, especially your Shadow Self and how it manipulates and seduces, is essential to being in healthy Healership.

I suggest to anyone drawn towards being a healer that you spend some serious in-depth time and energy exploring why you want to be a healer. As people, we are drawn to many things during our lifetime. Being drawn to something does not mean that you were meant to be or meant to do what you are drawn towards. Often you are drawn to that which you are learning that you are not. This is how the False Image gets peeled away, facing what you are not. So just because you inherit a farm does not mean you are meant to be a farmer. As Human Beings, we often discover what we like, and who we are, by first discovering what we don’t like, and what we are not. Go deeper within to understand what is really going on.

Being a healer is a very intense, hard, committed job. And it goes beyond the normal description of a job, because it truly is a calling that requires a person not learn to be a healer, but rather evolve into Healership. Just about anyone can learn how to manipulate an Energy Field, re-pattern chakras, and flow energy in and out of a person. This has nothing to do with being in Healership. Personal commitment to living in Healership is the place where True healers work from. And this is not something you learn, but an evolution into a state of being. Are you a True healer, or are you a trained monkey? If you’re not looking deep enough, sometimes it can be hard to tell. In everything in life, try your best to Know where you’re really coming from. And be cautious letting people work on, or with you, until you have some sense of where they’re coming from. Truth or training? There is a very large difference.

Healing 101: Nothing Is Done to Us

Often one of the most difficult things for people to understand is how we create our own reality. People are all for taking credit for the good times, but what about a car accident where someone is hit by a drunk driver? Being raped, especially as a child? Losing your job because your company went out of business? How could you have created this for yourself? Why would you want to?

Life is not purposeless, random, serendipitous, or something we come here just to experience. There is nothing random about life on Earth; it is a very specific soul choice. Your soul comes here to learn and grow in a certain area, and you are the physical vessel that is doing the learning. Your life is filled with purposeful energy; whether you embrace it or not is up to you. A life embraced is far easier than a life not embraced. It is the difference between being in a car accident and driving by one.

In order to fully understand this, your consciousness has to be in a place of maturity. Mature energy is energy that is willing to let go of old paradigms, old beliefs about how things should be and how things should have been. There are no shoulds in life, only what we are creating. Even the Laws of Physics and Science are proven wrong on a fairly routine basis, because EVERYTHING changes all the time. This makes the shoulds an impossibility because there is no should, there is only what is. And no matter how much you don’t like it, or want it to be different, reality is what is right in front of you, and there are no mistakes, which means there is no it should be different. Whether you personally like it or not has nothing to do with reality; reality is what is, not what you want it to be. It’s your ability to face reality that matters. Unfortunately many people get caught up in obsessing about what they think reality should be instead of facing what is simply because they don’t like what is right in front of them. This is what keeps people cycling in some very dark places.

In this world, we are here to learn, and specifically in this world we are here to learn about our Shadow Selves. The world is set up to play out in darkness so that we can learn about the darkness within. Everyone has a dark side, everyone. There are no exceptions. Some people’s darkness is a lot stronger or larger than others, but everyone has some percentage of themselves trapped in Shadow. It is the Wound level in the Shadow Self consciousness that so adamantly feels that all of life’s pain was something that was done to you, that you are not responsible for any harm/trauma/suffering that you have endured. That it is somehow not your fault. Why do you think personal litigation is so popular? Victim energy pours out of the Wound like sunlight coming off the Sun, only the Wound is far from being in light. Blaming someone or something else is the hallmark symptom to let you know that your client is coming from their Wound, and not from their centered consciousness. The process of healing strongly involves helping people take personal responsibility for all that has been, and all that is in their lives. Nothing is done to us. We do it all to ourselves by the choices we make. It’s just that so many of those choices come out of our unconsciousness, so people aren’t even aware that they just made a choice that is now busy creating a harsh reality that they are going to have to live through.

Remember that your consciousness is filled largely with unconscious energy. This is where a person’s Shadow Self rules, in the unconscious. And it all becomes a numbers game, a game of energetic percentages. So if you are going after a job, and you want that job, but the part of your consciousness that wants the job is only 20%, you have 80% unconscious energy that does not want you to get that job. Guess who wins? The 80% unconscious energy wins, but the only thing you’re consciously aware of is the part of you that did want that job. In this example, you had a huge part of unconscious energy that worked against the part of you that desired the job. The 80% of dark, unconscious energy easily dominated the 20% that did want the job. Hence, the unconscious Self created the reality of not getting the job. And your consciousness is left wondering what is wrong with you that you didn’t get the job. There’s nothing wrong with you, but you are being dominated by your unconscious Self.

This is what self-exploration is all about: going after the unconscious parts in a person that are ruling their life. Before a person can even begin to explore the unconscious aspects of themselves, they have to be willing to admit that they have an unconscious part of them that is in Shadow. And then they have to be willing to take personal responsibility for all they have done unconsciously. This takes a lot of maturity, because many people will jump into a young, immature part of their psyche that says, How can I be responsible for something I didn’t even know was happening? You may not understand the physiology behind breathing, yet every day you are responsible for every breath you take. At some point in your history you chose to not be aware as a way of avoiding personal responsibility:
