About this ebook

Healing is not about curing anything, but rather a journey into understanding the why of everything and, ultimately, the why of you. The Art of Energy Healing connects the spiritual with the practical along with explanations of what healing is really about, and how it affects you on a daily basis.

This series of nine books explains Energetic Dynamics, which encompass both the individual Human Energy System, like the chakras and Energy Field, along with an explanation of how energy connects and creates both the planet we live on and the Universe we live in.

This series begins with fundamental explanations of the Energy System and the levels of consciousness. Each book adds more information, from technical foundations, to more advanced and in-depth teachings about energy flow patterns, personal growth processes, group dynamics, working with children, working as a healer, Universal principles and individual evolution.

Everything in life has a meaning, everything. It is in learning to understand yourself at a deeper level that helps you to understand life at a deeper level. Your life is your teacher, and this series of books is just one of the many tools to help bring a little more clarity into understanding the lessons that life has to offer you.

    Preface

This is the second book in a 2-volume series on Energy Healing. This book expands on the information introduced in Volume I while adding a few new pieces for itself. Both books are the culmination of years in personal practice, personal process and teaching.

Energy Healing is very much something that is experienced from within rather than learned from without. All written material is limited by what it can bring a person in the way of knowledge. This is in no way said to diminish the incredible significance of the written word, but written material can only convey part of the picture, the in-depth information is within you, and there is no book written that can compare with what you already know. They key is unlocking your knowing and that is done through personal exploration. Getting to know yourself will take you into a place that can help you understand the world around you and the world within you at a depth far deeper than anything written.

Self-exploration has many areas to it like honest self-reflection, mapping out your patterns in life, learning to take personal responsibility for what you say and do, seeking internal guidance, and at times seeking external guidance and support. Reading material is another form of self-exploration but no book is there to tell you your answers or be your total guide. They’re written to express a person’s or group’s experiences, learning, and personal understanding of both. So like anything in life, please read, enjoy, use what feels like Truth to you, and let the rest wash away.

    God Bless.

    Understanding Yourself

When a person starts on a journey of self-discovery, they are often looking for some kind of answer. The irony is that there is no answer. Even more profound is that no one is really seeking answers, what they’re looking for is understanding. It’s in this place of understanding that a person’s consciousness is aware, and it is in this place of awareness that a person will find themselves.

In Volume I the levels of a person’s consciousness were described as seven specific layers, six layers being in a place of Shadow and the seventh connecting a person into their Core Essence. When all seven layers are seen as a whole, a person is in their True Self, meaning that they are aware of both their Essence and their Shadow Self consciousness. When a person is in their True Self, their consciousness is in the light of their Core Essence where they can see (and own) that they have a Shadow Self. Denial becomes obsolete when a person is in their True Self. When a person is in their False Self, their consciousness is stuck in their Shadow and the only thing that they know is what their Shadow Self is telling them. This creates a very limited and false understanding of both the reality of themselves and the world around them.

The six layers of the Shadow are divided up into two levels of consciousness, the Victim Consciousness and the False Image. The first three layers (magician, wound, belief system) make up the Victim Consciousness and the last three layers (defense system, idealized self-image, mask) are the False Image. The job of the False Image is to keep a person from discovering the first three layers of their Shadow so that they don’t discover that their beliefs are false, they are indeed wounded, have wounded others, and that they have a dark aspect of their personality (Magician) that manipulates and deceives on a regular basis. The False Image is there to keep a person in the dark, literally. The Mask keeps a person oblivious to the reality of the world around them, the Idealized Self-Image keeps them oblivious to themselves, and the Defense System stops a person from looking within by making it all about everyone else.

If a person’s consciousness does get beyond these three layers, the next thing they run into is an overall sense that they are a victim which creates a Victim Consciousness. There is a sense that they are a victim of their beliefs, which is everything they were taught that was false and they chose to blindly believe, and everything they taught themselves by coming to false conclusions. They are a victim of their wounds in life because they have either not acknowledged that they are wounded or refuse to own that they participated in their own wounding and therefore have some responsibility for being hurt. Or a victim of their Magician which always believes it is better than its present circumstances (because it ultimately believes it is better than God and God owes it something), so it refuses to accept reality.

A person’s journey is working on understanding all of the layers in their consciousness, how they look and feel. These layers of consciousness can be generically defined but are specifically unique to each and every individual person. What is in your Mask? What does your Idealized Self-Image look like? What defenses do you use on a routine basis? What do you believe in that’s not really in Truth? What wounds are you holding onto and why? What do you avoid owning about your own wounds? What do you look like when you are being deceptive in your own Magician?

Self-discovery is not about answers; it’s about understanding yourself. It is through self-understanding that a person learns about their path in life, how they got on it, why they got on it, what their soul’s plans are all about, and what area they are trying to evolve in during this lifetime. Every lifetime has purpose, there is no such thing as a random life. No one is born just because. Purpose is in all that you do, all that you think, and all that you experience.

To understand your purpose is to understand yourself. Life purpose is not about a job, being a parent or not being a parent, your relationships, what humanitarian deeds you do in life, or any other external thing you can think of. Life purpose is all about what’s behind what you are doing, not what you are actually doing. The Shadow can mimic just about anything the Core Essence can do. What motivates you? Are you doing it from your Core Essence or are you mimicking from your Shadow Self? It is this journey of self-discovery that introduces you to your own Core Essence and Shadow Self, giving you the ability to define what each layer feels like so that you can understand why you do the things you do and why your life is as it is. This understanding will lead to self-growth and the ability to make your choices more consciously.

When a person’s consciousness is not in center, it is in Shadow and they are in their FALSE SELF. The Shadow will use tools like numbness, detachment, obsessive behaviors and blame to keep a person so busy that they never look within themselves for fulfillment. If they were to look within, they would find their light, which would lead them to question their darkness, something the Shadow Self works hard to avoid.

When a person’s consciousness is in center, it is connected to their Core Essence. From this place a person has equal awareness of all the aspects of themselves including the areas that are in Shadow. There is no denial here. When a person is in this place, they are in their TRUE SELF, equally acknowledging both their light self and dark self.

    The Power of Choice

You know, you create your own reality. I have heard this statement said so many times and, though it is true, it’s not as simplistic as it seems. Reality is the physical product of choice. Your reality is a product of your choices, and you make hundreds of choices every day of your life. The question to ask yourself is, where are those choices coming from?

People tend to associate the word choice with the big stuff. Should I marry this person? Should I go ahead and change jobs? Should I buy this house or wait a while? The word choice is often associated with big conscious choices that usually take a lot of time to make. These certainly are choices, but they are not the only ones you make. You actually choose to brush your teeth. It may seem like a routine task to you, but your body doesn’t move unless you tell it to, so in order to brush your teeth some part of your mind tells your body to perform the task of brushing your teeth. It may be unconscious, but you actively choose to brush your teeth. Nothing is random.

Choices are unconscious as well as conscious, some you know about and some you don’t. The vast majority of choices are made quick and unconsciously. The False Image level in the Shadow works hard to keep a person unconscious so that it can make your choices for you. These choices are usually very routine and based on old patterns that live in the Shadow. They take over every time you’re not being present with yourself and consciously making your own choices.

Try and take a moment to think about how many things you do in one day that are routine, that you don’t even think about when you’re actually doing them let alone the moment you made the decision to do them. The more unconscious you are when you make decisions, the less responsibility you take for those decisions. This doesn’t mean that you are less responsible for the outcome of your choices; it just means you don’t take conscious responsibility. This is what keeps our court systems busy, filled with people refusing to take responsibility for their own actions because they were not being present and conscious with the choices they were making (remember that not doing something is also a choice, this includes not participating).

The False Image keeps a person from being conscious of their choices, then the Victim Consciousness takes over and spends its time blaming someone or something else. If it happens To you, you are responsible at some level because on some level you made choices that led you into the event or relationship. Your Shadow Self does not want to take responsibility, and the more you are not present with yourself, the more your Shadow takes over making hundreds of choices a day from your unconscious and denies any responsibility for bad outcomes. Your life is the living product of your choices, but the process of making choices is not always something that you are consciously aware of.

    I do not say this
