My children Tyler and Rare Monford. I am definitely a blessed women to have you as my son and daughter. You are heaven sent, I'm proud of you and I love you so very much.
To my older sister Marrietta Jackson, thank you for letting me see the Godly lifestyle that you lead! You inspired me to seek God whole heartedly! Thank you, I miss and love you very much!
To my father Amos Monford Sr. My brothers Arthur Monford, Amos Monford Jr, Herbert Monford, sisters Connie Riston, Jackie Richardson, thank you for all your help in life as your daughter and baby sister! God bless you!
To my husband and friend Minister James Hunt, thank you for encouraging me to write this book to help God’s people. You are a gifted man of God, a man with a heart of gold!
1) Do not be tempted by the things of this world. Satan uses our five senses to draw the people of God away from Him. Ex: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye and the pride of life!
1) James 1:12-16
12 Blessed (happy, to be envied) is the man who is patient under trial and stands up under temptation, for when he has stood the test and been approved, he will receive [the victor's] crown of life which God has promised to those who love Him.
13 Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted from God; for God is incapable of being tempted by [what is] evil and He Himself tempts no one.
14 But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desire (lust, passions).
15 Then the evil desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is fully matured, brings forth death.
16 Do not be misled, my beloved brethren.
1 John 2:15-18
15 Do not love or cherish the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world-the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one's own resources or in the stability of earthly things]-these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself].
17 And the world passes away and disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever.
18 Boys (lads), it is the last time (hour, the end of this age). And as you have heard that the antichrist [he who will oppose Christ in the guise of Christ] is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen, which confirms our belief that it is the final (the end) time.
2 Peter 2:9
Now if [all these things are true, then be sure] the Lord knows how to rescue the godly out of temptations and trials, and how to keep the ungodly under chastisement until the Day of Judgment and doom:
2) The things that can obtain in this world is temporal, but the blessings of God are eternal Ex: Peace, joy, healing and prosperity!
2) Mark 8:36-37
36 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life [in the eternal kingdom of God]?
37 For what can a man give as an exchange (a compensation, a ransom, in return) for his [blessed] life [in the eternal kingdom of God]?
2 Corinthian 4:18
18 Since we consider
