About this ebook

Michael is a cage fighter who was one of the best, until something happened in the ring that made him walk away from everything he loved. His relationship with his ex wife is strained and he has to go through her in order to see his son Jeremy. He begins to fall into a bottle and gambling just to get a semblance of the same fix that he got when he was in the cage with other fighters. Michael wanted to get back into action, but every time he even begins to think about it, his thoughts go back to that one night five years ago.

Dara is a young woman of 25 years old, who has been living with a tragedy that has haunted her life and her decisions. She finds herself drawn to competing inside the octagon, but everybody that she talks to tells her that she needs to have a trainer that can give her that edge. Her research brings her to Michael, but she doesn’t think it would be right for her to just show up on his doorstep. Eventually, they do work together and soon are letting the passion that they have for the ring spill into the bedroom.

    About The Author

    CHAPTER 1

Dara woke to find that her muscles were very sore and that Michael had really put her through the paces yesterday. They decided that she should stay at her own hotel room. It wasn’t like they didn’t want to spend time together, but he explained that she would need time to rest. They both agreed that they would never get any sleep if they stayed together, so they parted ways with a soft kiss that reminded them of what they were going to miss.

She stretched her limbs over her head, moving them this way and that to loosen them up. She didn’t think that she had muscles in those places that she was feeling fatigued. It wasn’t like it was painful, just a certain extra something that made her aware of just what kind of strenuous exercise she was going to have to put her body through.

Just lying here, she remembers his hands touching her inner thighs and how wet she became from just that. There was no doubt in her mind that they would have succumbed to their baser instincts had she stayed overnight again. Not that that would’ve been unpleasant, but that would have never given her the chance to sleep this off and then awake to a new day with a sense of purpose.

The telephone rang and she immediately knew that it would be him on the other end I apologize for calling so early, but I was thinking about you all night and I couldn’t get a wink of sleep. Just the sound of his voice made her body quiver at the very thought of them being together again I hope you didn’t have the same problem, because that wouldn’t be a good thing, especially when you are getting prepared for your dream to come true. I don’t mean to be a slave driver, but you’re going to have to be here within the hour. It might be that I just want to get you ready, but it might also be that I just need to see you. She almost fainted against the pillow, sighed deeply and then the receiver dangled in her hands.

I’ll be there, because this is way too important to stay in bed all day.

Dara, I can think of a lot of things that we can do in bed all day and I don’t think I have to paint you a picture. She was already vividly reliving that one moment in his bed, climbing over his body and listening to his heavy breathing as he finished off with her completely exhausted and lying on the bed with nothing left to give. What she wouldn’t do to get another go around like that, but if they had to stay away from each other to make her dream a reality, then she could keep it in her pants for the duration of her training.

It was only 630 AM and neither one of them knew that there was a secret about to blow up outside their doors. Down the street the first edition of the morning news was arriving to be picked up by various vendors that were going to splay the headline across every counter. It was the same headline that the man had thought about when he was watching them from across the street and he was about to poke a hornets nest. People that didn’t know who Michael was would now be informed.

Climbing out of bed, Dara got into her prerequisite workout clothes, snugged it tightly against her chest and making sure that the zipper was all the way up on her sports bar. She could already see his hands moving that zipper down ever slowly with his teeth, looking at her the entire time and unsnapping the zipper until her beautiful breasts fell into his hands. I wish that I could’ve stayed with you last night, but I bow to your expertise in these matters. It was cold in the room, so she had to turn up the temperature and as she heard footsteps running up and down the hallway.

I’ll be expecting you soon, Dara and I’ll have a cup of coffee to keep you awake. After all, I’m going to need one myself after the sleepless night that I had with visions of you running in my head. It made her feel special to think that he would think of her that way and she wanted nothing more than to jump into his arms and scream to the world that she was in love with a man that she had just met.
