    Chapter 1

Can I get another damn drink, Channing Bennett snarled at the flight attendant.

Sir, you don’t need to yell at me. I am not deaf, the flight attendant responded back in a stiff voice.

Well, my damn glass is empty and I would like it to be refilled.

Channing shook his empty glass in the air at her. The flight attendant rolled her eyes and grabbed his glass from his out stretched hand. Channing’s phone vibrated in his pocket. He reached in his pocket and pulled the cell phone out and looked at the caller ID. The caller ID showed his ex-best friend Jamison. He shook his head in disbelief. He couldn’t believe that asshole Jamison had the nerve to call him. He ignored the call and it went to voice mail.

Fucking asshole, Channing murmured with disgust setting the phone down on the plane’s little tray in front of him.

Did you just call me a fucking asshole? The flight attendant asked in shock standing next to Channing’s seat holding his drink.

Channing looked up at her. Her face was scrunched up with a furious look on her face with one black eyebrow arched up. She had her arms crossed over her chest with his drink in one hand and tapping her foot with anger. Channing shook his head no to her and reached out to take his drink from her hand. She pulled her hand back so he couldn’t have the drink.

No, I called the person on my phone a fucking asshole, the lying son of a bitch.

That was pretty harsh. I would hate to see what you are like on good day.

The flight attendant then handed him a full glass of bourbon on the rocks. Channing grabbed the drink and immediately took a swallow. He drank half of the glass down in one swallow. The flight attendant raised her eyebrows at him.

Are you thirsty or having a bad day?

Channing looked up at her and laughed sarcastically.

I am having the worst fucking day of my life.

Channing raised the glass to his lips again and finished the rest of the drink. He then held the glass out to her. She gave him a surprised look.

Just kept those drinks coming, it will make me a very fucking happy man. I am going to get drunk on a plane and drown my fucking sorrows.

I take it you are having a bad day.

Didn’t I just tell you that I was having the worst fucking day of my life.

    Sarcasm will get you nowhere.

I am sorry for being a prick.

The flight attendant grabbed the glass from his outstretched hand. She wondered what could have possibly made such a handsome man want to drown his sorrows in alcohol. The plane had just left the beautiful Caribbean Islands.

Do you want to talk about it?

She started to pour him another drink from the small bar tray she had set up. She looked down at him with concern on her face and handed the glass back to him. He laughed at her question and took a drink. He swirled the ice in his drink watching it roll around in the glass.

He looked up at the flight attendant and saw the sincerity in her eyes. He finally noticed she was a pretty woman with short spiky black hair. She had a heart shaped face with pouty red painted lips. Her body was a nice slim shape with long legs in her air flight uniform. She had a concerned look on her face and looked like really wanted to know why he was unhappy.

Why the fuck not, I plan on getting drunk and staying that way until the plane lands and then starting all over again.

    8 Hours earlier:

Channing Bennett was standing at the wedding alter with a clean-shaven face with a fresh haircut. His form fitting white tuxedo molded to his tall 6.0ft muscular body and broad shoulders. His green eyes began to dance up and down the aisle with excitement waiting for the love of his life to come walking towards him. He had a wide dimpled grin of happiness on his face. He couldn’t wait to get a glimpse of his dark haired beauty in her wedding dress. He felt a little kid at Christmas time waiting to open up the gifts.

Channing shifted his stance anxiously and swallowed hard as the music started. He glanced over at his best friend and best man Jamison Taylor and smiled widely. They had been best friends since high school. Jamison looked a little nervous and uncomfortable standing next to him. Jamison was rolling his head and slightly shrugging his shoulders.

Channing could feel a light sheen of sweat trickle down his back even though he wearing a light weight white tuxedo. He figured Jamison was also uncomfortable from the heat even though they were standing under a gazebo. The Caribbean sun was hot and bright. The temperature was 95’ without a cloud in the beautiful blue sky. There was a slight breeze coming from the beautiful blue sparkling ocean. The day was absolutely perfect for a wedding. The guests were all sitting on chairs under a huge tent watching the bridesmaids walk up the aisle.

Channing was going to ask Jamison if something was wrong when the music started. His attention went back to the aisle. Channing didn’t think he could ever be happier than he was right now. The woman of his dreams was becoming his wife today.

They had met a couple of years ago at a Las Vegas Party, Jamison’s company was having. At the time, Jamison was seeing a girl named Sandy and she had brought Loraleigh to the party with her. Jamison and Sandy hoped Loraleigh and he would hit it off which they did instantly. They had an instant attraction to each other.

When Jamison and Sandy introduced Loraleigh to Channing, he thought he died and went to heaven. Channing thought she was the most beautiful and classy woman he had ever seen in a long time. She took his breath away with her beauty and sexuality. Loraleigh radiated a prim and proper bred woman. She was polite yet sexy as hell.

Loraleigh Thompson was a fashion buyer for an upscale boutique in Chicago. The woman knew all about the latest fashions. Loraleigh had straight glossy black hair down to her hips. Her eyes were a dazzling color of blue green almost catlike. She had an oval shaped face with perfectly shaped black eyebrows and luscious pouty lips. She had the perfect model body, tall, beautiful skin and curves in all the right places. Loraleigh was very confident and energized. She didn’t know how to relax; she was used to being busy and being center of attention.

Loraleigh had gone crazy with planning their wedding. Channing about swallowed his tongue on the amount of money she spent on the wedding. They were getting married in the Caribbean Islands. All their friends and family were invited and most of them were coming.

Loraleigh had spent $30,000.00 on her designer Vera Wang wedding dress. The tuxedos were also
