Facilitating a 1 Corinthians 14:26 Meeting - Richard Maisenbacher

INTRODUCTION
Even though I have had a career as a Guidance Counselor and have facilitated various groups; it wasn't until I began to implement 1 Corinthians 14:26 into my groups that life and energy was birthed. Before this understanding, regardless whether they were children, teens, or adults; I could see the advantage in active participation from the group members. Those small groups gave me experience in what types of meetings brought life.
When we would attend our local fellowships we would see hundreds of gifted, anointed believers sitting around us, never having the opportunity to express what God had deposited within them. We would often leave with a sense of grief and mourning that so many Saints were set aside with silenced voices.
That frustration
is what has driven Becky and me to try and provide a nonthreatening atmosphere where life and growth in Him can take place. There are vast anointed deposits of revelation from God residing within believers that need to be expressed.
The Bible does give us a basic format of what to do when you meet.
Twenty years ago we began to implement these principles within our open home group. We are continually amazed at the beautiful ebb and flow of the Spirit as we meet; when we follow the Biblical principles presented to us, life comes forth.
This manual is an attempt to put into print what seems to bring life; allow His Spirit to freely move, and to share the great mistakes that I made that have caused death in our meetings.
I would first like to give thanks to my wife Becky for being patient with me as I navigated through a path that seemed dimly lit. Her encouragement, comments, constructive criticism, and the things she has taught me have been invaluable!
I would also like to thank those pioneers who encouraged open
meetings. Even though the spontaneity of these meetings can seem a little scary for some, or they may not
