Inspiring is a GREAT Feeling: Everyone thinks their books will change the world. They want to become famous and make millions. But what about inspiring others? Being an author/writer is more than just writing. It's about inspiring others. Here's my story. I went to get my taxes done, I know everyone groan, I use the same person every year he is in his late 70's. He was talking about writing a book a couple years ago. I told him I was a writer/author and we talked for a while. The next year he was contemplating about the different avenues in which to publish and how much it cost. We talked more. This year I go there and he smiled. 'I published my book.' He went over to a drawer and pulled out his book. He tells me, if it wasn't for me, he would have never taken that first step and published. It's a boy scout book, with camp fire spooky stories. With all the legends and how the camp came to be. He was a boy scout at this camp. The camp is still open today, he made is money back and all proceeds go to the camp. He wrote an inscription to me and handed me the book. My husband was so proud and I was almost speechless. I may not be famous or a millionaire. My books may not have changed anything, but being a writer did plus, he saved me money on my taxes, *grin* That was a great feeling, me inspiring someone. Someone who indeed is very profitable in selling his book. I guess it stems back when I first started out looking for answers, before I published. I asked an indie author a couple questions. Someone, everyone loves and I to loved her books. But she got snotty with me and made me feel like an idiot. Well dah! I have never done this before, I don't know what I am doing. I don't buy her books anymore either, just because of that fact. So at that point I decided I would never do that to someone else if they asked for help or information. Introduction

In your worse dreams you would never consider the deeds that are forced upon you. But when several lives are at stake, you will do what you have to, to keep them alive at any cost. Even if the cost means losing the most precious things to you, your greatest love. How far will Max and Kate go to protect their loved ones? Will they make the right choices? Kate has to trust Max. She has to trust in his love no matter what the situation is. In the society everything has to be believable, everything.

Chapter 1

Max, your mother and I are going shopping today. Do you need anything?

I thought you went shopping the other day?

We did Max, but she loves spoiling her grandchild. Kate beamed.

I can’t think of anything right now Kate.

Max is something wrong? Kate said in a worried voice.

He smiled, No Kate, nothing is wrong. Have a good time. He kissed her on her head. But Kate felt Max was up to something. She could see it in his face.

Kate and Max’s mother were getting really close and Max started to get suspicious. Sometimes the way they looked at each other, gave him a funny feeling. But it didn’t seem to bother his father at all. They always told Max, Kate would make a great sleeper, and Max knew she would. But every time he asked her about it. She would say he didn’t know what he was talking about, or he was just letting his imagination run wild. And then she always would grin at him. She confused him all the time so Max decided to have Kate watched. Greg tried to warn Max that it wasn’t a good idea, but Max insisted.

A couple of days later after Max had Kate watched he had a dream. He dreamt Kate was standing in the hallway, by the bedroom door. She had a smile on her face. She was beckoning him to come into the bedroom. He followed her, she was seducing him. She was so loving and tender. She got on top of him, kissing him, caressing him. She had such a loving smile on her face. He was enjoying what she was doing. She was kissing his neck. She suddenly sat up, had and evil look on her face, and said Don’t you trust me? and bit his neck. Max freaked, woke up in a sweat. His heart was pounding. He looked over at Kate and she was sleeping peacefully next to him. Max couldn’t go back to sleep. The dream haunted him for a long time.

It didn’t take Kate long to figure out she was being watched. At first she was scared, but then she recognized the man. She knew it must be Max. He was having her watched because he thought she and his mother were up to something. Kate got a hold of Tracy and they came up with a plan.

You know Tracy we do look a lot alike. Why don’t we do a switch now and again and throw the watcher off. Then I will go to his mom’s house. He will report back to Max. Kate was all full of ideas.

Oh Kate, that will really get him going. I can’t wait to see the look on his face. Tracy was right there helping her plan everything. The girls laughed about it, this was going to be fun. The following day Tracy came over. They were dressed alike and they went shopping. Kate had a hat and glasses on, Tracy didn’t. Kate was pushing the baby in the stroller. Of course they were being followed. They went into the bathroom. Kate gave Tracy the hat and glasses, and Tracy came out pushing the stroller. Then they parted. The watcher followed Tracy, and the baby. When she took her hat off, he noticed it wasn’t Kate. He immediately reported right back to Max. Now Max knew something was up. Tracy and Kate meet back up and they had a laugh. This went on for about a week. Max realized Kate figured out that he was having her watched. And she was having fun with it. And also he knew she was having Tracy help her trying to trick him.

Oh you think you’re so tricky Kate, he chuckled to himself. So he decided to have Kate taken. He figured he would teach her a lesson. That she couldn’t pull one over on him. And he was going to make this good. Kate and Tracy went out and they did the switch. But this time, they came up to Kate, grabbed her. They threw her in a van and took off. Tracy and the baby were approached by Max in the parking lot. He had a grin on his face.

Oh Max you didn’t! Tracy said.

Yep, I did. He laughed.

When she finds out you’re going to have hell to pay. Tracy was shaking her head.

I am counting on it. He laughed some more. Max took Tracy and the baby back to his house. And then went to teach Kate a lesson.

Kate was all frantic. She didn’t know what was going on. She was taken to a room. She saw the cameras. She was all nervous. She had tears in her eyes. She sat in there for an hour before any one came in. Then a man enters and he kind of frightens Kate.

Who are you, what do you want? Kate quickly said to the man as he sat.

Max, Greg and another man were watching the cameras. Max was getting a kick out of this. He had a big grin on his face.

We have Tracy and the baby Kate. The man said.

Kate gasps and puts her hands to her face. What do you want! she begins to cry.

We want to know what you found out. He said.

I don’t know what you’re talking about! Kate cries out.

Come now Kate, tell us what we want to know or…

I don’t know what you’re talking about, she covered her eyes.

Max is really getting a kick out of this. You can't fool me Kate.

We have been watching you. We know what you have been up to. The man said.

Kate thought about what the man just said. She knew the only person watching her was… Max! She got a little grin on her face. She decided to play his little game now. Oh Max you can't fool me. She was going to make him pay, for having her watched.

Kate wiped the tears. Okay, okay I will tell you everything. But you have promise you will let Tracy and the baby go. The man glanced up. Max lifted a brow and looked at Greg. Greg just shook his head.

No Kate, tell us what we want to hear first. He said.

Kate stood and looked at him. Her voice got really low and sexy, she squinted her eyes. Please let them go, I will do anything to keep them safe. She started walking over to him. She started to unbutton her shirt. He glanced up real quick and his jaw dropped.

I can do things for you that you will never forget and beg for more. She whispered in soft voice and then licked her lips. The man didn’t know what to do.

She is seducing him! Max bellowed and stormed out the door. He knew what Kate could do to a man.

Kate knew Max would burst through that door any minute, and she was going to be ready.

Greg and the other guy saw Kate turn towards the door. She put her hands on her hips and starts tapping her foot. They looked at each other. She knows, the Man said.

Max she knows! Greg yelled but it was too late. Max was gone.

Just as Kate expected Max burst through the door. When he saw her standing there with her hands on her hip and tapping her foot, he stopped dead in his tracks.

Want to play some more Max? Kate glared up at him. Max didn’t know what to think. He was dumb founded. Kate pushed passed Max and went through the door.

Greg went up to Max and put his hand on his shoulder. Are you going to make it into work tomorrow? And he chuckled. Max looked at him and shook his head. He turned around.

Kate spun around and looked at him. Are you coming Max? she sounded very upset.

Yes Kate, he said with his head hung.

I told you it was a bad idea Max. Greg said with a smirk.

Max glanced at him and shook his head. He followed Kate out the door. When Max and Kate got home Tracy ran up to her.

He knew Kate, he knew, she said.

Yes Tracy I know, she glared back at Max, he gave a faint smile.

Then Kate looked at Tracy and grinned. Oh he is going to pay for this. Tracy how would you like to take your nephew for the night?

No Tracy no, you don’t have to. Max quickly said. Just what I was hoping for.

Tracy looked at Max, and then at Kate. I would love to take my nephew for the night Kate, she said with a huge smile. Tracy knew they were playing each other.

Max put his hands to his head, and headed towards the bathroom. He heard the two girls laughing. Max knew Kate was mad. When she was mad he knew he was going to pay. But yet, he was looking forward to it. The thoughts of what she could do to him made him smile and he started to swell.

After Tracy and the baby left Kate went and got cleaned up. Max was in the kitchen cleaning a few things up. He was awaiting Kate’s punishment, as he grinned. But he knew there would be a greater price to pay in the morning. But tonight, he would enjoy it.

He heard her in the hallway. She was calling his name. He went and stood and stared at her. She was so beautiful beckoning him to come into the bedroom. Then the dream he had started coming back to him. He started getting nervous. She led him by the hand smiling at him. He knew she was mad at him. What is she up to? She lay down on the bed and reached for him.

Kate knew Max was nervous. She knew he didn’t know what to expect or what she was going to do. She was going to teach him a little lesson. Expect the unexpected. She wasn’t going to do anything to him, expect be loving and passionate to him. But he would pay
