    On the photocopied flyers Sal had crudely drawn a stick figure stork with a sling around its beak holding a stick figure baby. Above that, Sal had pasted letters that he'd cut out from a Chronicle headline:

    Congratulations Gentleman Jim!

    And below the bird and the baby, more newspaper letters pasted out the date that was the weekend for the big party in Vegas.

    Lots of people on the trading floor said that the stork looked more like a stick figure hangman than a bird and that the baby looked like more like a beach ball with eyes than a baby but Sal Finable didn't care.

    He had never considered himself an artist.

    Of course, Gentleman Jim wouldn't be at his own party.
