Inspiring is a GREAT Feeling: Everyone thinks their books will change the world. They want to become famous and make millions. But what about inspiring others? Being an author/writer is more than just writing. It's about inspiring others. Here's my story. I went to get my taxes done, I know everyone groan, I use the same person every year he is in his late 70's. He was talking about writing a book a couple years ago. I told him I was a writer/author and we talked for a while. The next year he was contemplating about the different avenues in which to publish and how much it cost. We talked more. This year I go there and he smiled. 'I published my book.' He went over to a drawer and pulled out his book. He tells me, if it wasn't for me, he would have never taken that first step and published. It's a boy scout book, with camp fire spooky stories. With all the legends and how the camp came to be. He was a boy scout at this camp. The camp is still open today, he made is money back and all proceeds go to the camp. He wrote an inscription to me and handed me the book. My husband was so proud and I was almost speechless. I may not be famous or a millionaire. My books may not have changed anything, but being a writer did plus, he saved me money on my taxes, *grin* That was a great feeling, me inspiring someone. Someone who indeed is very profitable in selling his book. I guess it stems back when I first started out looking for answers, before I published. I asked an indie author a couple questions. Someone, everyone loves and I to loved her books. But she got snotty with me and made me feel like an idiot. Well dah! I have never done this before, I don't know what I am doing. I don't buy her books anymore either, just because of that fact. So at that point I decided I would never do that to someone else if they asked for help or information. And it has paid off, in my eyes. Facts about me: Favorite person-Husband Favorite color is - red Favorite vehicle - ford (69 mustang mach1 boss 429) Dream Car. Favorite foods - bacon & bbq ribs Favorite time of year - spring Zodiac sign - Pisces Movies - Overboard, 27 Dresses, The Ugly Truth, Pretty Woman, Under Siege 1&2, Comando extra... Music - Areosmith, Poison, ACDC, Little River Band, Boston, Pink Floyd, Pat Benatar, extra...

The days were long and the nights were hard for Mitch. He always had Cally on his mind. He often wondered if he had done the right thing. He loved her enough to let her go. Questions always ran through his mind. What does she think if him now that she knew the truth about Kyle? Would she accept him and the things he has done? Would he make her happy? Would she trust him? Mitch often went and watched Cally. He would stay hidden so she wouldn’t see him. From where he stood she looked so vibrant. There seemed to be an aura of sadness about her, even though she always seemed to have a smile on her face. She also would just stand and stare. Take in a deep breath hoping or wishing for something. He knew she was thinking of him. He was in deed thought when his cell phone rang. He looked at the number and it was Seth.

    Hello?

Hey buddy what are you up to?

He glanced over to where Cally was. She was watching the contractors put the finishing touches on her restaurant. Nothing much what’s up?

Well, I need your help on a case if you're interested.

    What kind of case?

    Blackmail case. Interested?

Mitch cleared his throat. Yeah, interested. He needed to do something to get his mind off Cally. All the knife tournaments were done for the year. So were the other weapons competitions. He needed something. Send me the details.

Will do buddy. See you in Colorado. He hung up quickly.

Colorado? Seth, Seth! Damn. Mitch hung up his phone. He watched Cally for a few more minutes. Turned and left. When he got home all the information he needed for the case was sent to him from Seth. Why do you take these cases Seth? He said to himself. He shook his head as he read the details.

Two days later he arrived in Colorado. Seth, Luke and Brock were waiting for him.

Hey long time. Where is Matt? Mitch looked around.

Where have you been lately? Brock grinned.

Matt met the woman of his dreams, remember? Luke said.

Mitch thought about it. Yes that cute little brunette, Shelly.

That’s the one. He is spending more time with her. Brock winked.

We think he is going to ask her to marry him. Luke smiled.

    Really? Mitch looked at them.

Uh ya. Seth punched him. Man you have been out of it.

I guess I have. He looked at the ground.

Mitch, why don’t you just go to Cally? Luke said.

She has her own life her own goals. I don’t fit. He shrugged.

How do you know that? Seth looked at him.

After she found out about Kyle, I don’t know what she will think of me.

Is that all? I mean the man, beat her, took everything from her and shot her trying to kill her. And you're worried what she will think of you? Brock said in a sarcastic tone.

You saved her life. She loves you. And you love her quit being such an ass. She will only wait so long. Luke said with a warning.

This isn’t about me. Let’s get to the case, okay? Mitch knew they were right, but yet he was still so unsure of himself. Maybe because he never had a love before that makes him question himself.

Mitch, Luke and Seth were staking out the blackmailer. He was to meet the person he was blackmailing. They were going to make a trade. Brock was on the other side of the road listening. He was hidden from view. As the victim tried to bargain with the blackmailer he got spooked.

    Shit! Luke said.

Damn! looks like he is going to run.

    What spooked him?

    Don’t know.

Don’t run, don’t run. Damn it!

    He is on the move.

I got him! Mitch said as he chased the blackmailer. Seth took another way to block him.

Damn he is fast! Mitch huffed. He was chasing him through the woods.

Where the hell is lighting Luke when you need him?

    Right behind you buddy.

Watch your step there is a ravine.

    Roger that.

    Seth you see him?

Yep he is coming right at me. I am waiting. Brock is right behind me.

Roger that. Shit! Mitch slipped. He went tumbling down the ravine.

Mitch, Mitch! Luke do you see Mitch?

Oh no, no Mitch! Luke stopped all out of breath.

Damn it Luke what the hell? I got the guy. Brock just came up. What the hell is going on back there?

"Mitch, he… he slipped down the ravine. I can’t see him. It’s a long way
