Jonathan Gould
Jonathan Gould is a Melbourne-based writer and doodler. He calls his stories "dag-lit" because they're the sort of stories that don't easily fit into the standard genres. Some might think of them as comic fantasies, or modern fairytales for the young and the young-at-heart.Over the years, his writing has been compared to Douglas Adams, Monty Python, A.A. Milne, Lewis Carroll, the Goons, Dr Seuss and even Enid Blyton (in a good way).

Hello, Thomas,
said the turtle. I’m a tiger.
Thomas blinked in surprise.
You don’t look like a tiger,
he said. You look more like a turtle.
Oh no,
laughed the turtle as it nibbled away at the grass on the back lawn. I’m definitely a tiger. By the way, this grass is very tasty.
I’m glad you like it,
said Thomas, but are you sure you’re a tiger?
The turtle nodded. Absolutely positive.
Thomas knew the strange creature with the four flippy-floppy turtle flippers was a turtle, not a tiger. And he knew how he could prove it. He ran back to his bedroom and got his favorite book—a book about wildlife, with a picture of every single animal you could possibly imagine in it.
