About this ebook

As a psychotherapist and writer, I am excited by the idea of utilizing the fairy-tale genre to facilitate personal resilience and emotional intelligence (EI). My stories add a second dimension by embedding parenting and teacher skills within the story line. Key to Chivalrys target audience are children ages three to eight and their parents and teachers, all learning together, honing in on emotional intelligence that is not traditionally addressed or taught in school curricula.

Key to Chivalry focuses on Knight Thomas as he models emotional intelligence, embodying self-acceptance, emotional regulation, caringness, and empathy. At the storys conclusion, Wise Owl teaches parents, teachers, and children relaxation, determination, positive thinking, and emotional intelligence by developing their wise mind.

Emotional intelligence can be taught! My goal is to provide our next generation with a positive pathway to living a socially and emotionally intelligent life while working on emotional literacy.

Thomas stirred. It was very early in the morning as he gazed out the window. There was only a faint light. The sun was barely peeking out from the shadows of the morning. He wondered why he felt like tiny squirrels were running in his tummy. What was he thinking about?

Thomas brushed a blonde curl from his forehead as he sat up and stretched. Ah, he thought, I start my knight training today.

    He imagined all the big
