About this ebook

Fred Wilson hated Black people with a passion. He blamed them for every challenge he encountered in his life, and, even the chance that his own biological father may have been a Bi-racial man didn’t seem to deter him, nor change his hateful heart.

He inflicted unimaginable acts of terror and pain on his own children, and their mother; left a trail of destruction and evil wherever he went, which forever, negatively impacted his own children and other family members.

Will his sons, Shane and Bradley, have to suffer the punishment for their father’s iniquities or will the Universe and its people be forgiving towards them?

    Chapter 1

It was dark, and, raining outside when she went into labor! Ava-Marie Fleming was in labor for hours before she finally delivered her adorable twins, Shane and Bradley Wilson.

She and Fred Wilson live in the small town of Sylvester, Georgia.  Although, Ava-Marie and Fred were not married, they lived together as a family.

People in this small community were terrified of crazy Fred Wilson. They truly believed that he was evil.  He had been suspected of breaking into homes, killing animals, and, even terrorizing women in this small town. Some were raped and the description of that rapist, matched Fred’ to a T! However, he was just too slimy and cunning to be caught! He had few friends in this town who were just like him - drunkards and violent motherfuckers!

As horrid as Fred was, he was able to convince the ever gentle, naïve nice girl, Ava-Marie, to date him. The news of these two together truly horrified her family and friends. They were shocked that she would associate herself with someone like Fred, and constantly worried for her safety.

Ava-Marie would often make excuses for him, telling her family that Fred was a nice man who was misunderstood.

When her family started to notice bruises on her face, and her swollen eyes, their worst nightmare was realized as they immediately knew that Fred inflicted the beatings on her, and, pled with her to end the relationship.

Of course, she denied that Fred was the perpetrator but it was quite obvious even to the blind that Fred Wilson was responsible for the bruises on Ava-Marie.

When the twins were born, Ava-Marie and Fred were both ecstatic. Fred even changed his behavior, well – somewhat, and, cleaned himself up. He stopped drinking – temporarily, and, became a hands-on father.  He even helped to change their diapers, fed, played with them and sang to them before bed-time. He doted on the boys that everyone around them, especially Ava-Marie, was stunned to see him being a hands-on father.

The physical abuse he inflicted on Ava-Marie, stopped.  The family was happy for a while until the Twins had their third birthday party and, Ava-Marie’s family and friends came to celebrate with them.

Fred Wilson didn’t have any family and, certainly, not many friends, so he didn’t invite anyone from his end.

Ava-Marie had invited an old friend from high school, a lovely Black man named T.J, with his Wife, Leanne – a lovely, tall blonde woman, and their two cute girls who were around the same age as the Wilson twins.

    The moment T.J and his family walked into their house, and Fred saw them, he became irate, yanked Ava-Marie by the arm, dragging her into the bedroom, screaming on top of his lungs;

"What the fuck is that Nigger doing in my home, you fucking bitch?" Fred snarled, angrily!

"Get that Nigger out of here now before I lynch that motherfucker, you stupid bitch, stupid Nigger-lover and, he better not come back here - ever again!" He screamed as he slapped Ava-Marie across the head.

Although Fred’s ugly behavior didn’t shock Ava-Marie, she shivered and shook as Fred kicked her. She hadn’t even for one moment thought that inviting a Black friend and his family to the children’s birthday party, would enrage Fred this much.  She knew he was racist but, he had also been to a church pastored by T.J’s father before.  She didn’t think it would be a problem to invite T.J.

I’m sorry Fred. I went to school with T.J and you have met his father before.  He was the pastor of that church we went to a few months ago.  T.J is a good man. He protected me from bullies when we were in school and we’ve been friends ever since.  His wife is also really lovely. They’re good Christians, Fred.  T.J would never hurt anyone! Ava-Marie explained hoping to touch Fred’s heart, except Fred was a heartless bastard!

"I don’t fucking care if his father was Jesus, get that Nigger and his monkey kids outta here now, and don’t let them touch my boys. We don’t mix with those people!"

Ava-Marie knew not to push Fred’s buttons.  She had been on the receiving end of his temper too many times, so, she called her parents and asked them to explain to T.J that he had to leave - because of Fred!

But wah? Wah does T.J have to leave? He’s a good man Ava-Marie. Said Mrs. Fleming, firmly!

Ava-Marie was ashamed and sorry when she faced T.J and Leanne.

I’m so sorry T.J, I’m really sorry Leanne. She said remorsefully, feeling humiliated at having to send her friends away from the party.  She hugged them as they made their way to leave, then, sobbed as her father consoled her.

You have to leave him Ava-Marie. He’s no good for you. He’s no good for anyone. Her father pleaded with her.

I’ll be alright Daddy.  He loves those boys so much. He’s changing for the better and wants to be a better person for me.  You know, he even said we should get married next month. Ava-Marie said trying to re-assure her parents about Fred.

It wasn’t long after she asked T.J and Leanne to leave that the other guests also left.

Fred Wilson just knew how to ruin a good party!

Ava-Marie was still consumed by the thoughts of the day’s events as she read bedtime story to the boys. Fred’s behavior discombobulated her.

    Goodnight sweethearts!

She kissed them both on the forehead before making her way to the family room to start cleaning up the residue from the party.  As she cleaned room, she heard steps behind her and knew what was about to ensue…..

Fred grabbed her by her hair and swung her around, before punching her in the face.  He slammed her body against the wall, dragged her on the floor, where he ripped off her clothes, and, raped her, before passing out on the floor next to her.  She tried to move but she was in such agonizing pain and couldn’t move for a while.

Her whole body was sore and aching; after a while, she managed to drag herself off the floor, reached for the phone and pled with her father to come and get her.

When Mr. Fleming arrived at the house, the sight of Ava-Marie’s face nearly gave him a panic attack!

That bastard did this to you, didn’t he? Mr. Fleming yelled!

Shh…No…Papa! Let’s just leave before he wakes up. Please Papa, let’s go

You have to leave this son of a bitch Ava-Marie. Why won’t you let me kill this bastard? I would be happy to go to jail for killing this son of a bitch.

No Papa, please. Let’s leave now. Ava said through floods of tears.

Let me get you to the hospital!

No Papa. Let’s just go. Come on boys, we’re going to stay with your grandparents for a while. She whispered, as they tip-toed out of the house!

She hated that the boys had to see the bumps and bruises on her face. She had no doubt that they were well aware of the violence Fred inflicted on her!

Days after Ava-Marie left him, Fred Wilson would get drunk, then, drive to Mr. and Mrs. Fleming’s house to harass them by screaming on top of his voice, accusing them of stealing his family and, demanding to see his children.

For weeks, they ignored his cries but, Ava-Marie eventually relented and decided to give Fred another chance.

The day she and the twins went back to Fred, he bought her flowers, cooked for her and treated her like a Princess.  That night, Fred made love to her like never before and swore on the twin’ life that he’d never hit her again!

The weeks after their reconnection was amazing.

Fred paid her much needed attention, showered her with cheap gifts and even took the kids out to play so that Ava-Marie could take a break.  She in turn would cook him his favorite meals and make herself available to him for love-making any time he wanted.

She was alone in the house one afternoon, sweeping the front porch when a car pulled up. The driver leaned out of his car to ask for directions. Ava-Marie didn’t think twice before giving him directions.  As the driver of that car pulled off, Fred Wilson was pulling into the driveway, he ran up the stairs with the boys, screaming profanities at Ava-Marie.

"Who the fuck was that Nigger? Didn’t I warn you never to speak to a darn Nigger again? They are animals!" He retorted angrily!

I don’t know him Fred. I was just sweeping the front porch when he stopped to ask me for directions. I couldn’t possibly ignore the man.

"I don’t want you speaking to these darn motherfucking Niggers. They do nothing for society. These parasites need to be squashed and, I’m the man to do it!  If I ever see one of them Niggers around here again, I will lynch you both, you hear me?

She tried to calm him down by rubbing his arm, but, Fred wasn’t having any of it!

Ava-Marie could see that Fred was clearly aggravated by her speaking with the Black man, so, she began to worry about what would happen to her later. She thought being extra sweet to him would help.

I missed you while you were gone Freddy. Ava-Marie said, cozying up to Fred.

"Get the fuck away from me, you slut, Nigger Lover!" He retorted then, walked away from her!

She didn’t argue with him. It was pointless to say anything to Fred when he was in this mood. She decided to set the table for dinner, and, at dinner time, they sat to eat – in silence. Ava-Marie noticed the sad look on her sons’ faces but didn’t say anything for fear of upsetting Fred.

She knew was what coming after dinner – a thorough beating, at the hands of Fred Wilson!

After dinner, she cleared the table, washed the dishes before leading the boys to their bedroom and kissing them goodnight. She didn’t feel like reading to them tonight.  She turned off the lights and waited in the dark bedroom for a little while, contemplating how to escape the beatings she knew Fred would inflict on her tonight, then, she heard him screaming her name!

She walked slowly to open the door; as she closed the door, there was Fred, standing behind her!

What the fuck were you doing in there for so long?

Before Ava-Marie could respond, Fred, who was reeking of alcohol grabbed her by the hair, and, dragged her into their bedroom. She could hear her own heart pounding loud.

She knew what was coming next.  Fred Wilson was going to beat the shit out of her, then, rape her.

This man would kill her one day!

She didn’t have the strength to fight back, or leave him, so all she could do was beg him and appeal to his humanity – if he had any left!

Please Fred. I love you, please stop hurting me. Ava-Marie begged!

I promise you, that man was only asking for directions. I had never seen him before today. I was just being nice by telling him how to get to where he needed to get to. She explained!

"Shut up - slut. I leave you for minute and you’re fucking a Nigger. You sure do love you some Niggers, don’t you? I told you never to be nice to a Nigger, you worthless piece of shit."

No, no, Fred. I wasn’t. I love you and you only. She pleaded!

Before Ava-Marie could continue to explain herself, Fred slapped her so hard on her face, ripped off her clothes, and then raped her repeatedly all night.

When he was finally done with her, he pushed her to the side, and dozed off without any care of what he had just done to her. She lay beside him and sobbed for hours, until she had no tears left.

Ava-Marie felt trapped! She didn’t see a way out of the relationship unless she gave the go-ahead to her father to murder Fred Wilson, but, she just didn’t have the heart to have him killed. She couldn’t run away either because she knew that wherever she went, Fred would find her, murder her and the kids - like he always promised!

Ava-Marie told herself that for the sake of her twins, she must escape her hell – she had to find a way to leave Fred Wilson! There had to be way out for her! She had to be strong! She had to find a way to leave Fred Wilson!

She began to make plans secretly, but it seems Fred was suspicious of her intentions, and, kept a tighter rein on her.

Over the years, Fred Wilson’s drinking became worse especially after he lost his job and wasn’t making any money to buy his beloved vodka.

Let me get a job, please Fred so I can help our family pay our bills. She begged him!

You ain’t going out to work, bitch. I let you take in some kids and you screwed that up by flirting with their fathers. Fred said!

Ava-Marie had been working from home as a nanny, taking care of kids and, Fred being Fred, accused her of flirting with their fathers, scaring the Parents away so, they stopped bringing their kids.

She pled with him to allow her to seek a job, but, he refused time and time again; accusing her of wanting to go fuck ‘Niggers’, however, a few months later, realizing there was no other choice for them, Fred finally agreed for her to get a job – which she did – at the local grocery store - but, he was never far from the store as he would follow her to work in the morning, then stalk her from morning, until the end of her shift.

She loved her job – it was a safe haven for her, and, a chance to get away from Fred’s brutality, besides, she was really enjoying her time at the store, meeting new people but, that was about to come to an end; because one evening, after a shift, she was chatting with a male colleague when Fred who was standing outside of the store as he often does, saw her laughing.  He walked into the store, dragged her out and insisted that she resigned immediately.  She couldn’t quit now, she thought! Not when she found a little bit of happiness.  She pleaded with him, reminding him that they needed the money but, he was adamant that she had to resign immediately. He accused her of flirting with her male colleagues and customers; besides, he didn’t like that she smiled at a friendly Black customer.

Fred would say: I think you’re smiling too much at the men that come in here, you’re too friendly.

But we need the money Fred, they’re really good to me at the store. Ava-Marie insisted, but, Fred didn’t want to hear it.

What are we going to do for money now, Fred?

Don’t you worry your pretty little head about that; my lady!  We’re going to make some money tonight. He sniggered!

Ava-Marie wondered what Fred was up to now.  He was always up to something.  Many times, he had come home with items which didn’t belong to him, and she knew he had robbed a house, but, she
