    Introduction

What is the connection between a cat called Bimbo, a grand piano, and a tube of hot-pink acrylic paint?

These seemingly unrelated objects represent the key areas of my life: family, work, and leisure.

I’m a music teacher, a recreational artist (untrained and untamed), and am constantly entertained by Bimbo. My life is a combination of sound, colour, and frenzied fur!

I coach professional entertainers and other interested people in singing, presentation, and piano. I studied piano and singing from an early age and even started teaching piano while still at school - I used to race home from school and get dressed up to try and look really old. Now I race home and get dressed up to try and look really young!

But back to Bimbo, the piano, and the paint. At this very moment, Bimbo and the piano are at home, hopefully in different rooms. I keep the tube of hot-pink acrylic paint in my pocket... to prevent any uncontrolled interaction between them. Again!

Brian and I have a little family of cats, the main ones being: Bimbo, Hercules, and Penny Parker. Bimbo is white with a little grey waistcoat-design on her back. She is extremely energetic and gives literal meaning to the term ‘busy body.’ She does everything a cat should do...
