In Japan, women are a dominant force to reckon with. They are involved in almost every field. Before the Second World War the condition of women in Japan was not as good as it is today.
After the Second World War, things changed greatly in favour of women in Japan. Since the Great War, the role of a Japanese woman has been that of the office lady. She becomes a housewife, and then eventually education mother after her marriage.
The entire Japanese history shows that the role of gender has been very important principle of stratification, but the modern historians or social scientists have begun to raise questions on it.
