Tommy was someone who lived for the moment. What was the point of considering the potential consequences of his actions when he had lived recklessly for so long without anything going wrong? He regularly got drunk and took drugs. He often engaged in football hooliganism and got into fights. He’d had a few run-ins with the law, but he had never been to court and didn’t have a criminal record. Unfortunately for Tommy, complacency was to be his downfall.
