About this ebook

Life is about power and control, yours and how you use it. Lightweight for Life is using your power and control to rule over your mind and body instead of living as a victim of your mind and body. Lightweight for Life shows you how to manage the mental images and physical sensations that produce healthy eating and exercising habits which in turn bring about a fit lightweight body.
Using power and control over your mind and body requires serious mental fitness. Lightweight for Life is the mental fitness required to stick with eating right and exercising during stressful times, when you do not feel like it, and when you are off track and need to get back on. Just as physical fitness develops through using physical muscles; mental fitness develops through using mental muscles. Lightweight for Life is developing mental muscle fitness to rule over eating and exercising habits and what becomes of your body size.
Lightweight for Life is being in charge of your mind and body on purpose. Lightweight for Life is using power and control to stick with and make new eating and exercise behaviors feel second nature. Lightweight for Life shows you how to build mental images and physical sensations that make healthy eating and exercising feel second nature. Lightweight for Life is managing your mind and body and thus what becomes of your body size.

    Introduction

You probably picked this up because you aren't happy with your weight and would like to do something about it. This is likely not your first attempt. You have had your share of frustration with making diet and exercise programs last. Too often 'magical' solutions are offered. As appealing as magical solutions are you know that is child like thinking at best. Believing that something, even this book, will make you only want healthy foods and exercise is pure fantasy.

As an adult you know there is no bluebird miracle bus coming for you to hop on, and no miracle angel on the way to change you on the inside. There is no external experience strong enough to make you change inside. Truth is you have to take responsibility for power and control over your mind and body. Life is about power and control. Yours and what you do with it. LFL reminds you how to retake and keep power and control over your own mind and body. LFL is an inside out change.

No doubt you have heard way too many times that weight loss requires changing your lifestyle. How many times have you said, 'I am going to eat right and exercise from now on'? You know that works perhaps a few weeks or months but then it is right back to the old ways of eating and inactivity. The question to ask is, 'How can I make eating and exercising changes last a lifetime?'

In order to make a change with eating and exercising last a lifetime you must stick with the new behaviors over time, not 100% of the time. A lifestyle change comes about when you learn how to get back on track when you get off, not when you do something 100%. You are a normal person and as such you will not do anything 100%. You do not have to; in fact it is impossible for a human being to do anything 100% complete. Lightweight for Life is all about sticking with healthy eating and exercising over time, not 100% of the time.

You are going to struggle. You are going to get off track. You are going to go back to heavyweight eating and inactivity. The very struggle you fear is the process by which you gain effectiveness ruling over your own mind and body. Your motto or mantra is 'I rule over my mind and body for what I let stay is what becomes of my body size.' The struggle is not between you and fat foods, you and inactivity, you and bad eating habits, or you and motivation. The struggle is between you being in charge of your mind and body versus being held captive by whatever urges, wants, and desires happen to be the strongest.

Figuring out how to do something is one of the most frustrating and at the same time, rewarding experiences for a normal human being. Not knowing how to do something just means you are normal. Not knowing how to do something, learning how, and doing it is the 'norm' for normal people. Normal means having incomplete power, awareness, control, and knowledge; hence there are some things you will not know how to do no matter how simple you think it should be to know how. Your life is full of experiences when you did not know how to do something that other people knew how to do, you set your mind to learning how, followed
