About this ebook

The Cruz Chronicles includes the three books in the trilogy in one volume.

Simon wants to clear the air with Ace, except of course Ace is really Cruz. And he would like to see how things are going with Leonardo, so he makes a trip to Manila, hoping that he can avoid Rey.

It was Ace who had kept him coming back to Manila. He had met him in a macho dancer bar. He was new, young, naive and fresh from the provinces. Shy, always kept his underwear on. Maybe that’s what intrigued Simon. And with very little English. That’s where Rey had come in. The staff had brought Rey over to help translate. Simon had tried to ignore Rey, but he kept butting in, and asking for a drink. He was about to tell the staff to remove Rey when this other guy walked over. Tall, handsome. He introduced himself. He was Leonardo, Rey’s cousin. If he hadn’t found Ace, Simon would have gone for Leonardo.

But that was all history.

His return causes a chain reaction. Brothers and cousins, parents. All realise it’s time to be true to themselves, and find happiness. Except Rey. For Rey, there will be loneliness unless he can accept things.

Robert Bell

Robert Bell was born in the UK and after years of visits finally relocated to Thailand 7 years ago. Initially he lived in Pattaya, but has now relocated to Udon Thani in the North East [Isaan] of Thailand. His first novel, Rough Diamonds, which he has made available for free download, draws heavily on his experiences in his early years living in Thailand, and frequent trips before then. Many of the more surprising events actually happened to him, although they are set in a fictional bar. The characters take traits from various guys he has met in Thailand, as do the locations. The story of the characters, and venues, Robert created continues in Diamond Fellowship and Facets of Thai Diamonds. History is revealed, and they set up a business empire. In his fourth book, Final Closure, a past that Paul Swift thought he'd left behind in Germany, comes to control the present. The fictional sois that Robert created are the backdrop to this thriller, but the characters are new. They realise however, that it isn't Final as his latest book, The Fifth Man, follows Paul as he tracks down the puppet master. Robert is working on a further instalment of the Thai Diamonds story, provisionally entitled 'Polished Diamonds'A short story marks a departure for Robert. The first, 'Clash of Wills' is the story of set in North Yorkshire where Ray returns to take care of his father's funeral and finds things aren't as expected, as he slowly discovers the truth about his father. His time living in Isaan has exposed him to 'Isaan Black Magic' which was the inspiration for two books. 'Run Away From the Tiger, Face The Crocodile' relates the journey of Martin and Rene to overcome their demons at a 'temple' in North East Thailand. They have a feeling that they are dealing with forces they don't understand. In 'The Sesame Seed Burns Before The Cashew Nut Cooks' Sean visits Thailand and meets Tam. Tam believes in Black magic but the events which take place in Udon shake that belief'Filipino Cruz' sees the backdrop change from Thailand to Manila as four young guys decide on their future. The follow up, 'Thai Cruz' sees them visit Thailand. The story will conclude in 'Cruz Control'.For more information visit http://thaidiamondbooks.moonfruit.com

    Arrival

The plane arrived in Manila at 5am. Immigration was painless as there was only one flight arriving around that time. Minibus to the hotel and then a few hours sleep was the plan. Simon wasn’t sure why he had made the trip. It had been a year, but for some reason he wanted to see the boys again. Probably because he hadn’t parted on the best of terms. Hated final memories to be an argument. It seemed to be par for the course, but these guys were somehow different. He’d thought about it a few times, but this time he had acted.

There had been three of them. Two he liked, one was a hanger on. Unfortunately the hanger on was Leonardo’s cousin. In fact, it was Rey that had caused the problems, at least most of them. Add parents who thought any foreigner was a soft touch and it was inevitable. Still, maybe Ace had matured. Time would tell.

He wanted a day alone and had asked Ace to meet him on Tuesday. He told Leonardo he’d call once he had arrived, and they’d meet on the Wednesday. He needed some time with Ace first. His return flight was open, and he expected to be flying out in three or four days. His expectations were low. If either stayed the night, it was a bonus. Once he was checked in at his hotel, he called Ace and Leonardo to confirm he had arrived, and that they would. There was no answer from Ace. Typical he thought.

It was Ace who had kept him coming back to Manila. He had met him in a macho dancer bar. He was new, young, naive. Fresh from the provinces.

Simon’s mind went back to the early days.

There had been something about Ace. Simon couldn’t place it. He tried a few times in the early days to get Ace alone, but he seemed too shy. Later Ace had confessed that Simon was the only man he’d left the bar with, and then he officially hadn’t, they’d met after his shift. He had said that he was a bit afraid of being alone with Simon in the beginning.

On Simon’s fourth, or fifth, visit, Ace’s English had improved enough that they could chat without Rey. And a bonus, Rey hadn’t come to work. So when the bar closed it was Leonardo and Ace who accompanied Simon to his hotel. As they sat on the bed, Simon started to put his hand under Ace’s shirt. Ace looked at him and removed his shirt. You want more?

Leonardo, who was watching TV, turned and said he’d leave, if Ace was alright.

Yes, if Simon can give me money for a taxi to the bus station.

Of course. See you tomorrow Leonardo.

    Leonardo left.

So Ace, what did you mean?

Well, you’ve never seen me on stage. I’m shy."

    I’ve seen you every night.

I mean, I keep my slip on. You want?

    If you want.

Yes. I’m not as big as Leonardo. I hoped he might stay, and join in. I think he’s gay. Rey isn’t, he has a girlfriend.

    What about you.

I’m gay. But I’m shy. I want to ask Leonardo, but then I worry he’ll tell everyone. Nobody else at bar says that they are gay. Some say that they are bi.

So what do you want now?

I want to have sex with you. I want to know what it is like to fuck someone. I can stay tonight if you want. I’ll call mama in morning; say I stay with friend from work. Umm. Can we go shopping tomorrow? New underwear, shirt. I not want anyone know I stay.

Of course. Now let’s see what you are too shy to display.

Simon slowly undressed Ace, then removed his own clothes. Let’s shower first.

In the shower, Simon knelt in front of Ace. I don’t know why you are shy. Can I suck you?

Yes. Ace leant against the wall and let the water cascade down his body. Sure, he’d have preferred someone his age, or Leonardo, but this was good. Simon wasn’t that old, and was handsome in a way. He felt Simon’s hand caressing and exploring him. He needed this release, this experience. Maybe then, with some experience, he’d have more confidence.

Simon stopped and looked up at Ace. I haven’t seen Leonardo this close, but you look as big to me. Now want to get into bed. There’s no rush, we have all night.

Ace was in a rush and took the lube from the bedside table. He knelt in front of Simon. Simon wanted him, and didn’t even mention condom. Go on then.

Ace didn’t need a second chance. Once he was inside, he relaxed and checked if Simon was ready. You are my first. Tell me if I hurt you. Then he started. Simon lay there, enjoying the ride and watching Ace’s face. He could see the joy. There was a shout of yes as Ace unloaded. Simon put his legs round Ace. Stay there. Then he pulled him down and kissed him.

Simon woke from his dream at eleven. At least he thought it was a dream until he saw a naked Ace sat watching TV.

Good morning. I let you sleep, took an orange juice from the fridge. Let’s shower and go eat, then shop. The sooner we are back, the sooner I can fuck you again. I need to go home tonight after work. How long are you staying?

    Two more nights.

Tomorrow you want me to stay again? I’ll not go to work, say I sick. Does Leonardo know how long you stay?

No, I can tell him tonight is my last night.

Only one thing, can you help me?

If you’re good, of course. And you sure you don’t want more shopping. You can leave it here and pick it up tomorrow.

    Maybe.

Fine, you can have eight thousand. Spend two, you get six tip. Spend five, you get three tip. Understand. Simon knew he was being over generous, but wanted to leave an impression.

I think so. I find some good clothes. And you help me find underwear for the show. Suppose it costs three thousand, then after tomorrow you give me five thousand cash.

Yes! And next visit I won’t tell the others I am coming. First night you can be sick again. And I would like to try and get Leonardo to join us. If we can get rid of Rey.

Ace walked over, kissed his. I’m sure you can find a way. Why not just tell him.

It’s difficult. They are cousins. And I don’t want to upset Leonardo. Any other dancers you fancy?

    Not really.

They spent five thousand shopping. Rey was absent again, and Leonardo was convinced to come to the room. He seemed more prepared for things. Simon decided to push things a little. Hey guys, any chance of a good photo of you, in your underwear?

He took some photos of them and handed them a fresh beer from the fridge. So Leonardo. You’ve worked there a long time. You enjoy it?

Yeah. It’s fine. Mainly women customers, sometimes one of them wants sex, but that’s okay, if the tip is good.

    What about the men?

Most of them are too old. But I have fucked a guy before. He looked at Ace. Took a bit of getting used to and a lot of nerve the first time. After the first time, I went to a sauna and found a guy my age. I was getting offers at work, but I wanted to try somewhere that no one knew me. What about you Ace?

He looked at Simon. I haven’t. Don’t know. It’s bad enough being on stage in underwear, let alone being naked with a man. I think I’d make a complete mess of it.

The trick is to think of some hot girl, or something, not the guy under you. Simon, get more beer, and you want some photos without underwear?

Sure, if you want. I’ll bring copies for you next time. Ace, don’t feel under pressure.

After a few shots, Ace was getting horny, strong and embarrassed.

Leonardo looked at Simon. If you want to suck my dick you can, as long as you are naked. Then if you want, I’ll fuck you and Ace can watch? You okay with that Ace?

You mean you’ll fuck Simon here. Now. You aren’t embarrassed if I’m here?

    No. I’m horny.

Well. Only if Simon agrees that I can try after you.

Simon nodded. Okay, but be gentle, and don’t tell anyone. Especially Rey. I don’t know how to tell you Leonardo, but I don’t like Rey hanging around. If he was here, I’d have said no. I don’t think I’d have suggested photos.

Don’t worry. I don’t want Rey, or work, to know. We’ll get into trouble as they didn’t make any commission. Oh and tonight is free. Well five hundred for a taxi.

They went to shower together. Leonardo looked at Ace. You sure you’ve never fucked a guy before?

    Yes.

    They dressed and left.

The next night Ace had visited, and the next couple of trips they managed time without Rey. Nothing was said but Leonardo must have said something.

    Reunion

Simon was brought back to the present by his phone. Hi, it’s Ace. Sorry, I was sleeping.

That’s okay, catch up before we meet. I’m in the same hotel. Room 409. Three tomorrow afternoon? We need to talk and see. If we can put things behind us, I fancy a few days on the beach. Leonardo will be here the day after. But I need you to be honest with me, or it’s a bus home.

Don’t worry. I know I was wrong. See you tomorrow. And I haven’t seen Leonardo in a year. Rey?

Hey, I’d like to repair things with you two. Rey I’ll be happy if I never see again.

Simon went to Greenbelt for lunch and then had a wander round the shops. He wondered if either or both would turn up. He had a plan. A night with Ace, see how things went. He’d held out the prospect of the beach to see how he reacted. But first, they needed a long talk.

Simon woke early, but decided to turn over and grab a couple of hours more sleep. It could be a late night. Eventually he showered at eleven, and then went for a coffee.

His mind went back to Ace. They had fallen out over pressure that Ace was receiving from his family to elicit money from Simon. Their last talk had been an argument that had ended with Simon putting the phone down. Simon called Ace who said he was on the way to get the bus; he’d be at the hotel about three, maybe a bit later as there was a lot of traffic. At least the air could be cleared, or Simon would know he’d been right.

Ace arrived at the hotel about four and Simon took him to the room to drop his bag, not that it was very big and Ace reported the bed was big enough for three. So how are you?

I changed bar. Its better and no Rey. I know I was bad. But don’t worry, I stay in Manila now, my mother can’t check my pockets for cash, and take it. I’ve just been home for a week, it was her birthday. My brother works at my bar, if you want two brothers? He’s not gay, but says he’ll fuck anything. He’s just eighteen. He’s the only person I’ve told. That I’m gay I mean. And he’s only my half brother.

Well let’s see if you survive twenty four hours first. And Leonardo is joining us tomorrow afternoon.

    I know, you told me.

You two had sex yet, I know you wanted it?

No. I haven’t seen him in months, not since all the trouble. Maybe this week. But only if he suggests it.

    What about boyfriends?

No. I followed Leonardo’s advice; I go to a sauna sometime. Not sure that I’m ready for a boyfriend. It means everyone will know. I’m only twenty.

They woke late, showered and went for brunch. Let’s go back to the room and talk some more about before. You have obviously grown up, and you’ve learnt to take it slow and enjoy it when you fuck.

We can talk here. Have another beer. I know I did wrong. I put the advance on your bill because I wanted to get something for mama for Christmas. I know I should have just asked. Then, of course, once the family learned about you, they didn’t care if I was having sex with a man, they just wanted money. That’s why I had to pretend about the accident. I was happy when you didn’t help. I thought of calling you a few times, but I didn’t know what to say.

You didn’t bring much with you in that bag.

Don’t worry. Underwear and two t shirts. I came straight from home. I can go to my room and get some clothes later, or tomorrow. If I need them. It’s not far. About an hour by Jeepney. What time is Leonardo here?

    He said about four.

You want to see him alone first. I could go and get some clothes. You said a week and wanted to go somewhere. Assuming you want me to stay. He looked pleadingly at Simon.

Simon thought. Maybe it was a good idea. "Get enough for two days, and nights. After that I’ll take you both shopping if you are still here, you’ll need beachwear. What time will you be back?

    Six?

Fine here’s five hundred if you want to get a taxi.

You don’t need to. Jeepney is fine!

    I want to.

Simon had already been surprised by Ace’s body language, especially in a conservative catholic country, and given how shy he’d been when they first met. Now, whenever they were walking anywhere, he’d walk holding Simon’s hand. When they sat in a restaurant he would put his arm round Simon, or at times rest his head on Simon’s shoulder. Ace got up, took the money and kissed Simon on the lips. See you at six.

Simon went to the hotel and waited. Leonardo was fifteen minutes early. He took him to the room.

Simon, you know I was conned by my family into that house. It wasn’t just the wall, there was all sorts that was extra. My aunt was the agent. So not long after we had the argument, I walked away. Got a room in town, moved bar. Haven’t seen Rey in six months.

So you lost everything, I know you were the one dancer who actually saved money.

Yes. But no one is going to get me again, not even family.

So you’ve taken time off work?

Yes. But don’t worry; I don’t expect you to tip me. You’ve done too much before. So what’s the plan?

Ace will be back about six, he’s gone to collect some clothes for two days. You don’t mind sharing me?

No. I like Ace. I bet he hasn’t told you it was Rey who said you wouldn’t mind if he got an advance charged to your bill.

No! And it was Rey who told me he had done it. After I’d missed it and paid.

I didn’t know that. Rey only told me later that he wanted Ace out of the picture. Only two days? I thought you said you were here ten.

I am. We see how the next twenty four hours go. Then I’ll tell one, or both of you, to go if I’m not happy. Part happily without an argument, or I’ll buy tickets to Boracay for a few days. First, I’ll take you both shopping for beachwear. Anyway what about you. Got a girlfriend yet?

No. Not really interested. I guess it won’t surprise you if I tell you I’m gay. I told Rey I was bi. The fact that he found out that Ace was gay was one reason he set him up. Rey is a bit strange like that. But I know if you’d invited him, he’d have wanted to fuck you, and expected a big tip. That’s why I was happy when Ace and I could visit alone. I told Rey not to screw things up for me, that at least I was getting a tip, if he wasn’t Suggested if he did, that you might decide you only wanted to spend time with Ace.

    So no boyfriend either?

    No, and not much sex.

Well, I hope that changes tonight.

    Don’t worry.

They chatted until Ace arrived at the room. Wow Leonardo. You are much hotter than I remember!

    And you’ve grown.

Simon laughed. And based on last night, he hasn’t just got taller. Let’s sit and chat. Ace get some beers from the fridge. And I want no arguments about who fucks whom first. So Leonardo, how long since you’ve seen Ace.

Too long. Ace can I tell you something. If we are going to spend the week together.

    Yes.

I’m gay, if you hadn’t guessed.

I guessed the way you fucked Simon. Ever been fucked?

    Why?

Oh, just if the three of us are going to be away together, Simon will get tired if we both fuck him twice a day.

Simon looked at them. Only twice?

Leonardo looked, and broke into a smile. And I saw you when Simon used to give you a blowjob. You never objected when he moved on to your hole. You can fuck me, if I can fuck you.

Seriously guys, before we go any further. This is about the way we parted; I want us to be friends, rather than enemies. Sex isn’t important. Putting the past behind us is. Now have you both got some form of id? And your real names!

They both produced a card. I guess these will do. Cruz and Matthew. But I prefer Cruz and Leonardo. Now let’s go out to eat at eight, then find a bar. Until then tell me why you’ve changed.

Fine. Simon, you and Ace like that place we used to go to on Remedios Circle? And it’s Matt, not Matthew. They both nodded. Then I’ll pay.

You don’t need to! And which do you guys prefer, stage names, or real names?

Don’t mind, but we know each other by our stage names. I never knew Leonardo was a Matt. Leonardo is much more sexy anyway. After dinner, if we head to Bar Solo, I know the manager. I’ll pay, he’ll give me a discount. Oh and here’s two hundred Simon. I got a Jeepney there and a taxi back.

Fine, but don’t feel you have to. Now let’s relax for an hour.

No, shower first then relax on the bed. No sex. That okay with you Ace?

Sure, you scrub my back, I’ll scrub yours.

Are you two sure it’s backs you are interested in scrubbing.

Yes. For now. Later I think we need to experiment. Hope you’ve plenty of lube!

They showered and lay on the bed watching television. "So
