This is a continuation of “I GET IT” , but this time I start by writing with Lona’s POV. She is a friend of Ayo and Zizo. She is also a career woman, married to her high school sweetheart. This is just meant to give a background for later on when I publish her version of the story.
As promised, this is just to tighten look ends on Ayo and Zizo’s lives. What happens now that Ayo is officially engaged? Can Zizo finally accept that her best friend if getting married? Hope you enjoy it.

Weakness In Me (Introduction to Lona)

Lona took a final look at herself on the mirror; the strapless black dress she was wearing fitted her as if it was made for her. She matched it tonight with silver high heeled sandal. Ever since Ayo got the VIP passes for all of them after getting job at the local radio station, every Wednesday is party night. Her boss had arranged access for them to most of the hot clubs around. As she walked to the bathroom Melik walked into their bedroom carrying the papers that he was marking earlier.

You're going out again? he asked putting the papers next to the night stand positioning the pillows so that he could sit again and continues with the marking.

Ewe moss, you know Wednesday is ladies night. She said checking her make up again under the bright lights. How do I look? she asked doing a half turn with her hands on her waist.

You know you look beautiful, he said lifting his eyes briefly before going back to the papers.

I cut my hair today,

I know, I noticed.

So you're not gonna say anything? Lona asked still standing by the door.

It's nice, you're happy? Also please tell your friends to be quieter when they drop you off later. Last week they security complained that they were singing outside.

Lona nodded slowly as she walked slowly towards the door not taking her eyes of him. She bit her tongue trying to stop her lower lip from trembling. He knew she hates it when he looks at her like that, yet lately he took every opportunity to stare down at her.

Good night, she said quietly as she left the room. She was not even sure if he replied or not as she walked to the kitchen to see if there was anything she can do while waiting for her friends to come and pick her up. Things between them had definitely changed since the first time they started dated a five years ago.
