About this ebook
Warning: Contains some scenes of an explicitly sexual nature.
Jenny, a secretary at an international law firm in London, is assigned to look after a new special client from New York who quickly becomes attracted to her. The client soon makes it clear that he wants her to do more than type his letters and update his spreadsheets; he has personal, demanding needs that only she can satisfy. She is under pressure from her senior lawyer boss, who insists that she does everything that the client asks of her.
But she has fallen hopelessly in love with his assistant, a gorgeous man who had a significant place in her distant past.
How can she spend time with the client's assistant, who reciprocates her love?
How can she escape the attentions of the client, a wealthy industrialist, without compromising the law firm that she works for?
And when a female executive arrives with private demands of her own, how can she cope?
Rachel Cray
Rachel writes erotic romances to two sub-genres: the first she calls "law firm erotic", where her characters are the horny partners and employees of a U.S. law firm, and whose spare-time activities may best be described simply as sex-related. The second sub-genre she calls "village erotic", where the cast are the horny inhabitants of Maybourne, a fictional old market town in the heart of England with a number of olde worlde villages, Tudor buildings, a ruined abbey and other picturesque features in both rural and urban settings. She has worked in several European countries, first as a secretary and then as an executive assistant, before returning to her roots in Surrey, England, and close to London; for many years she was the director of administration at the London office of a large U.S. law firm before leaving to run her own recruitment company. Now in semi-retirement, she devotes most of her spare time to writing erotic romance novellas, drawing on her life's experiences in a variety of fields. She is married with children and grandchildren.

CHAPTER 1
I received an internal email from the manager, Harry Baxter. He wanted to see me on a sensitive issue.
I’d only been working at the firm for two weeks, and I wondered what it could be about. Surely I hadn’t upset anyone? The only episode that I could think of was when, one day earlier this week, I’d worn stockings and I had to get my legs in an unladylike position while I was putting some files back on the top shelf of a cabinet. I was sure one of the young associates had glimpsed my stocking top and garter, as I saw him brush his crotch when I climbed down on the short ladder. Well, I thought, if that was all it had taken to get him excited, he’d had a pretty sheltered life.
I knocked on the open door and walked in. Harry was signing a couple of letters, but looked up at me and smiled.
Hi, Jenny. Please sit down. Thanks for coming. I talk to most newcomers after they’ve been here a couple of weeks, just to check that you like it here and if you think there are any problems that might arise anytime in the future. I like to be prepared.
I sat down in his visitor’s chair and faced him across the desk.
Is everything O.K.? Have you settled in completely, do you think?
Yes, I think so, thanks. It’s very nice here – lovely, friendly staff. And most of the lawyers are approachable.
Good. I think we’ve built a great team. So you can’t see any potential problems lurking on the horizon?
No. From what I’ve seen so far, this is the best job I’ve ever had. Mind you, I’m just 23, and this is only my third job.
It was true. I could hardly believe my luck when I landed the position as a legal secretary at Freeman, Harris and Jackson. Because I was new here, and relatively junior, I was assigned as a float
, moving round from desk to desk each day or each week, as circumstances demanded. This gave me the best opportunity to get as much experience as quickly as possible across a wide range of sectors in the legal profession. I also met a large number of other people in the firm – secretaries, paralegals, lawyers and other support staff – and this strategy also ensured my face would become familiar to everyone.
There’s something I have to say to you now, Jenny, and I hope you’re not going to take offence. It’s a little sensitive, and I say this to all new people after they’ve had a chance to get their feet under the table here – whether they’re senior associates or office juniors or anyone in between – but it helps to nip any intimate problems in the bud.
I wondered where this was leading.
Speaking frankly, you’re a bright, good-looking young woman. And you’re not in a serious relationship yet, are you?
He knew this, because I volunteered the information at my selection interview with him. "So working in this environment could make you vulnerable. We all work very hard here; we see much more of each other than our own families and ‘significant others’.
"Because of the intense atmosphere, people find it relatively easy to find themselves falling in love with co-workers. This might sound silly to you now but, trust me, it does happen. Not just here at Freeman’s, but in many other law firms of the same type. And not just here in London; our brothers and sisters in our offices at New York, Chicago and Brussels have remarked on it too. Some of us have to work 70 or 80 hours a week when the pressure is on, and we depend on each other. That dependence overflows into our personal lives.
"Now, I’m not telling you not to fall in love with any handsome lawyer here. But you should beware that you may find yourself thinking that you’re falling in love, because you may be misreading all the signals. As soon as the pressure lets up, or you start working with another team, the romance that you think you had will suddenly dissolve without trace.
"I hope I haven’t frightened you. But it’s a fact of life here, and it’s something that you have to keep in the back of your mind. And if you want to talk about this – or anything else – you can come and talk to me at any time... unless my door is shut.
O.K., Jenny. That’s all I wanted to say. Any questions?
This was the strangest conversation I had ever had. Well, it wasn’t a conversation, because I didn’t say anything. I was a little bemused. No, no questions, thanks.
Good. Now, while you’re here, I want to tell you something else. Next week, I’m reassigning you to James Hatton, one of the corporate partners. He’s meeting a new client on Monday morning and a few members of his team are going to be very busy on a major new project. So they’ll need a lot of extra support to keep their routine client matters going while their more experienced staff get involved with the new client. O.K.?
Fine. I haven’t met Mr. Hatton yet, but I’ve heard a lot about him.
You’ll find he’s very demanding. But you should find the experience rewarding and – if you find it’s too demanding – remember that you’re still a
float and you won’t be there forever. And one last thing: you’ll find yourself working all hours God sends in this particular slot. So enjoy yourself this weekend – because you may not have another weekend free for quite some time.
I returned to my desk a little perplexed. Mary, my mentor, was sitting opposite me and I told her about the strange meeting I had just had with Harry. He was warning me about office relationships. He thought I might be vulnerable; just because I don’t have much experience as a legal secretary, maybe he considered I can’t have much experience of life.
Mary chuckled. Everybody gets that talk from Harry when they first start here. He’s very professional, and he’s acting responsibly, which is more than I can say for some other law firm office managers I know. I’ve been in other firms, before I joined Freeman’s, and what he probably told you is perfectly correct. There are office romances and love affairs going on all over the place.
I’m sure I’d have noticed something going on – you can often tell, just by the way people look at each other.
O.K., Jenny. It’s time you got to see some action. Why don’t you go along to Mr. Hatton’s office right now? The door will be shut, but look through the keyhole, and then come back and tell me what you can see.
I laughed.
Go on. You’ll have to hurry, though. It’s nearly three o’clock.
I got out of my chair and walked along to the far end of the main corridor to Mr Hatton’s office. I looked round; there was nobody in the corridor. I bent down and looked through the keyhole, as Mary had suggested. I couldn’t believe my eyes.
His secretary was bent forward, her upper body flat on his desk, and her skirt was up at her waist; he was fully dressed, without his jacket, and was pushing himself up against her like an animal copulating. Her panties and hose were at her ankles, and her face was turned the other way; her hair was dishevelled. He continued to thrust at her.
They were copulating. I pulled my face away from the door, and stood up to my full height. Mr Hatton had a reputation as a screamer
in the firm – he was constantly yelling at his team, bullying them to work harder, never satisfied with their performance levels, and frequently having his more junior staff members moved to other teams because they couldn’t reach his exacting standards. Harry had warned me that I’d find him demanding.
I bent down again for another look through the keyhole. He was still lunging into his hapless secretary; within a couple of seconds, he was roaring at the wall as he reached his climax.
This man was to be my boss from Monday next week. Would he be expecting me to submit to having sex with him like this? I shuddered. Perhaps it was a mistake to have joined this firm. I’d have to go and see Harry and ask if I could be assigned to some other team next week, and hope that I’d never have to work with Mr Hatton.
I returned to my desk. Mary looked up and smiled.
Well?
she asked.
He was screwing his secretary across his desk,
I gasped, still amazed.
Yes. It’s Friday afternoon, and he’s on time.
"He does this every Friday?"
Our Mr Hatton is a creature of habit. If you go along in twenty minutes’ time, you’ll see something else going on.
I’m supposed to be working for him next week. Will he expect me to...
She laughed. Goodness, no. Relax, Jenny. He has a special relationship with his main secretary. He wouldn’t give you a second look, so don’t worry.
Is there much of this kind of thing going on here?
My lips are sealed. But I thought you might like to see Mr Hatton in action.
And he’s doing it again in twenty minutes?
Get along there soon, and find out.
I returned to the work on my monitor, but found it hard to concentrate. Around twenty minutes later, I returned to the door of Mr Hatton’s office, bent down and looked through the keyhole again.
He had his pants down at his ankles, and was bent over his desk. His secretary had removed her skirt and was wearing a black strap-on dildo; she was lubricating it in the way a man uses his hand to masturbate, and she was ready to thrust it up his anus.
Although my earlier sight of Mr Hatton having sex with his secretary surprised and rather disgusted me, this sight of them in reversed roles, with the girl jerking off like a man with her artificial dick, stimulated me. I felt a twitch in my pussy and I needed to give myself some relief urgently.
But I was riveted to the spot. I couldn’t move, and I didn’t want to move. The girl had something spherical lodged underneath her panties, the size of testicles, which sat underneath the root of her dildo. She touched herself and whatever it was began buzzing. I realised it was a clitoral vibrator.
I heard her groan with pleasure as her little gadget started, and then she gently plunged her dildo into the backside of her boss.
This was too much for me. I raced to the ladies’ toilet, locked myself in a cubicle and pulled down my underwear quickly. I noticed I was already soaking down there.
I sat on the toilet seat, opened my thighs and worked my finger quickly against my clit. I had never masturbated in an office toilet before.
