Janr Ssor is a Nome De Plume for Dr Joseph A Ross and Janr is a hero of our stories. In reality, Dr Ross has been writing science fiction, mysticism, medical educational materials and software for nearly 40 years. Dr Ross created the concept of Holistic Vision Care and founded HolisticVisionCare.com He later designed and programmed both medical software which allows the diagnosis of systemic health problems through the eyes as well as anti-spam software. Chapter 1 – It Began With Kid's Games
I sat alone at my desk reviewing the neurology of frog eyes. It was not my favorite subject but the implications of its well mapped object filtering design was stimulating a cascade of creative new programming possibilities in the back of my mind.
When the SkypeD softly chimed, I looked up to see the ionized video cloud forming. It formed a golden glow in the cold air above the image disk. As it stabilized the doll size 3d image of Bessie, was smiling in anticipation.
I said, Accept call and decode
and the connection came to life. Bessie’s beautiful face turned towards me, her long red hair swirling behind her. Watching her hair flow fired aches in my stomach reminding me how long it had been since I hugged her. Behind her I could see the comm room of her underground research lab in Colorado. This was her only room allowing contact with the non-military outside world and even this call was encrypted.
Coming close to the camera as if to touch me, Bessie said, Janr darling, its been way too long! I am so excited to tell you that despite this miserable 8 year recession, the government is funding the Bussard Nuclear Fusion Conference in NY. I will be its keynote speaker. This means I will be in NY, outside a secure compound and I have big plans for you and I. In just 4 weeks you will be in my arms again! I will email you as soon as I know where I will be staying.
I said, Bessie, I don’t think I will be able to sleep for the next month; I will be dreaming about you every night. This is great news!
Just then I heard keys in the dorm room door and Q came walking in. He saw Bessie and smiled from ear to ear.
Q said, Hi Bessie, I hope I am not interrupting anything, if so tell me and I will vanish for a while.
With a sly smile and eye brows upraised in innocence, Bessie said, "Hi sweetie, you are never in the way…well
