    Hell will not prevail against My Church

    My brothers and sisters, it seems like we begin every one of our books with a cry of urgency to Catholics the world over to unite and rally around our Pope and the Magisterium of the Church. Having done the vast amount of research that was necessary to bring you the three books of this Trilogy on our Church, we know these are not the worst of times. These are not great times, but we, as a people of God under attack by the enemy, have been through worse. We have survived. Jesus' promise has always been good, I will be with you always, until the end of the world. and The gates of Hell will not prevail against my Church.

    You may ask yourselves, in view of that statement, why does it seem like we are losing the battle. We are experiencing a crisis in our Church. The enemy is attacking on all sides, within and without the Church. Those who would destroy us are multi-faceted; they invade so quickly from so many directions we don't know where to turn and how to fight. They don't rest. When we, the people of God think we've won a particular battle, we tend to sit back and take a breather, rest on our laurels. But the enemy never rests! While we're fighting on one battlefield, great advances are being heaped up against us on other battlegrounds. We find ourselves and our Church constantly on the defensive.

    But there is another side of the coin. Mother Church is so rich, so full, so exciting. Our Lord Jesus loves us so much, He has given us an abundance of Treasures to fight off the enemy, to help us journey through our Pilgrimage of life, to give us strength to stand up against the fires of hell. We can just envision the urgency of Jesus, as He went through the three years of His public ministry, teaching the people, teaching the Apostles, rushing to be sure He left us everything we would need to ward off the attacks He knew would be forthcoming, accelerating as we came closer to the end of the race here on earth. Picture Him high on the mountain, sharing a How to live our Faith Beatitudes - Blessed are the poor in spirit.... Then run with Him to Capharnaum where He gives the discourse on the Bread of Life, the powerful mandate of John 6:51. I myself am the living Bread come down from Heaven. If anyone eats this Bread, he will live forever, and the Bread that I give is My Flesh, for the life of the world.

    As the Triumph of the Cross came nearer, He worked harder and harder to give us what He knew we would need. He brought all His trusted Apostles together at the Last Supper to complete the mandate; He gave us His Body and Blood in the Eucharist, keeping His promise that He would always be with us. He gave us the Priesthood at the Last Supper.

    While Our Lord Jesus hung on the Cross, struggling to breathe, putting Himself through excruciating pain by lifting His Body with His Legs, in agony from the spikes which had been pounded through His Feet, opening up His rib cage in order to gather enough breath to utter a few last words to us, He gave us His Mother to be our Mother and the Mother of the Church at the foot of the Cross. He was that thorough giving us these gifts, these Treasures which make up the bouquet of flowers in the garden of the Church. Jesus left nothing to chance. He knew what we would be up against from the evil one and his cohorts when He was no longer with us. No sooner did He ascend to Heaven than the onslaught began fast and furiously.

    From the very beginning, Satan has forced us to go on the offensive. We have found, as we've researched the history of our Church and the various Councils which have been called, that we don't really defend a Truth and define it until it's been attacked pretty violently. These are Truths in which we have always believed. But the enemy has played right into the hands of Jesus; he has forced us to define Truths which have become for us the Treasures of our Church. These Treasures form the Deposit of Faith, the Magisterium, that rock on which we stand as Catholics. These gifts were given to us directly by Our Lord Jesus while He walked the earth. They give us the endurance, the solid footing we need to fight the enemy who would throw us off the Rock of our Church and have us dash our souls against the craggy depths descending into the pits of Hell.

    Our Lord Jesus gave us these tools, weapons if you will, to unite us as a People of God and Soldiers of Christ's Church on earth.

    Jesus prayed to the Father for unity among His people:

    "I do not pray for them alone.

    I pray also for those who will believe in Me

    through their word,

    that all may be one

    as You, Father, are in Me, And I in You;

    I pray that they may be (one) in Us,

    that the world may believe that You sent me.

    I have given them the glory You gave Me

    that they may be one, as
