    Chapter 1.

    You have one week to complete your project, Mr. Moore. The aggravated man on the other end of the line made no attempt to camouflage his disdain. I don't know why you have to do this at MY airfield. You wouldn't be doing this at all if my wife wasn't a fan of that hocus-pocus bullshit.

    I apologize for any inconvenience, Phillip soothed. Perhaps, if my findings are as I suspect, those troublesome rumors surrounding your airfield will cease.

    Don't flatter yourself. What do I care? You think I made my money on rumors? The line went dead as he held it against his ear. It made no difference. He'd always encountered angry people and this was no different. He didn't care for Floyd Nelson, either, but he was very interested in his property, although this was an entirely new experience. Phillip Moore was accustomed to hostility, but it seldom came from fellow skeptics. It was most often from disgruntled 'paranormal investigators,' as they called themselves. They simply used fear to perpetuate antiquated folklore and made a fortune by scaring people. It was the same tactic used by corrupt religious leaders everywhere.

    Hangar 408 was his for a week and he intended to disprove every lie perpetuated. Every paranormal investigator that visited the old hanger had walked away with what they had deemed "proof of the paranormal." From where he stood, they only recorded natural sounds and validated their own poor photography skills. What exactly were they looking for proof of? Regardless of what they found, it would still be untouchable, untraceable and non-existent in the real world.
