Intros and Acknowledgements

I guess it was around the year 2000 when we first sat down as a couple and openly discussed the subject of swinging. It was kind of strange at first… I mean putting the whole… inviting other people into the marital bed thing as a reality seemed almost surreal! I mean we asked each other what fantasies ran through the other’s mind and you may have noticed the other looking at a friend or acquaintance with that ‘I wonder if’ look in their eyes. But for themost part, it was something that was kept at the best of times a question that probably would stay just that… a question.

But it just takes that one time when the planets are all in order and you are feeling that nothing could hurt your relationship that you put the subject on the table! And then for lack of a better phrase… That’s how it all began!

But the reality was that after all of the talk and discussing comfort issues and of course deciding if this was a step that we wanted to really take… Bam! The proverbial brick wall! It seemed as if it would basically just stay a fantasy!

We were not going to ruin our standing in the community by broaching the subject with our neighbors and we definitely did not want to start posting ads in those sleazy magazines that dirty old men sit in the corner in tobacco shops and read! We figured that, hey, we live in the greatest city on the planet. NYC, the city that never sleeps and has a kinky underbelly to boot - we should be able to find something that would be considered our cup of tea…

We found out really quick that as far as swinging was concerned it was really like golf! A predominately white sport! We had nothing against white couples, but we kind of wanted to swing with couples of color, just our preference.

We spent a lot of time searching and doing our little freaky research and just could not find anything that worked for us…

I had just started learning HTML and thought why not build a little personal page and hopefully get some answers. I built the page on angelfire! (This was ages before the whole myspace craze and craigslist was still kind of a west coast thing). We entered a few chat rooms, did the cam thing (until we started seeing it was mainly a bunch of single males trying to see some titties for free), and even posted to the newsgroups… Then it started to happen!

People started sending mail to our website! They were basically saying that they too as couples of color wanted to find an outlet to explore their sensuality! Our little web-site began to get noticed by other couples of color who were going through the same turmoil and brick walls that

we were! There really were couples that were Black, Latin and Asian that wanted to swing! Yep! The site grew not only because we wanted it to… but we really felt that it was

mandatory that it grew! The site was quickly becoming a real resource for couples of color!
