    Author’s Note

This book is based on my own experiences during my former career in the escort industry. I hope that sharing my past experiences will help to promote the safety of adults who make a decision of their own to offer or use escort services.

Some of the practices in the escort industry are illegal under applicable federal, state and/or local laws. Anyone who decides to offer or use escort services should be mindful of those laws. Indeed, it is my goal to take the criminal element out of the escort business. Above all, I do not intend to encourage anyone to break or evade the law. If you have legal questions or concerns about anything you read about in this book, you should consult an attorney.

The theme of my book is that an escort sells time, not sex, and what may or may not happen between two consenting adults during the time they choose to spend together is no different than what happens on a date. Law enforcement, of course, takes a different view. For that reason, even if you follow the examples I discuss in my book, there will always be some degree of legal risk in being or seeing an escort.

Some of the practices in the escort industry may expose the escort or the customer to health risks. If you have medical questions or concerns about anything you read about in this book, you should consult a doctor.

Individuals who engage in the escort industry may find themselves in unsafe situations that put them at risk of property loss, physical injury or worse. While this book suggests some ways to minimize these risks, they cannot be eliminated entirely.

Because the legal, health and safety risks may be unavoidable, the decision to offer or use escort services should be made only if you understand and are willing to take those risks.

This book is intended for – and should be read by – adults only.

This book is a work of non-fiction. However, as a general rule, I do not identify any individuals or businesses by their real names or other identifying characteristics. If you think you can identify a real individual or a real business in the examples I use, it is strictly a matter of coincidence. The name I use for myself is a pseudonym and not my real name or the name I used during my career.

The only exceptions are my occasional references to certain businesses and individuals that offer services that may be of interest to those in the escort industry. I do not endorse any of these businesses and individuals, and they do not endorse my books. The information about them was current at the time of publication of this book, but you should make sure that the information is still up to date.

    Introduction

Istarted this book with the intention of taking the criminal element out of this business so that men and women can do this safely.

A little about myself . . . I’m currently forty-one, and live in the mountains of northern America. I will include some experiences in this book to show you examples of good or bad potential clients. I’ve been in the business twelve years now, off and on over the past twenty years. When I started this book, I was a touring escort that went to roughly eight different states, including Hawaii, Nevada, Florida, and several others, and I was also working part-time at a couple different brothels in Nevada. Keep in mind, I wrote this book while I was still in the industry; however, upon completion of this book, I have retired from the industry in order to pursue my new passion of writing.

I was twenty-two living in Orlando when I first started in this business. I originally worked for an agency out of South Florida. Through them, I got arrested ’cause they did no verifying of clients. After it all blew over, I became an independent and did outcalls in my city with my regulars that I took from the agency, because the agency was busted and their clients no longer had them to use. After several years of dancing and escorting, I took a few years off and worked for an insurance company. When insurance quit paying the bills, I got back into it. It was part-time the first two years, and I only did in-calls from my home in Florida until part-time started paying five times as much as my insurance job. I then quit my job and have been doing independent escort work full-time for the past five years. Three years ago, I started traveling to other states and also going to one of the many brothels in Nevada, traveling from Florida to Nevada every other month or so for about a year before moving to Nevada, and finally touring different cities and states for the past couple years, which has been quite possibly the most lucrative endeavor I’ve done, aside from the brothel.

Over the years, several women that needed advice had come to me after reading my website, and I thought to myself, there are a ton of women that just don’t know how to do this the right way and safely. Every day, I see hundreds of girls online that break the law in their ads, completely unaware they are doing it. Then again, some of those ads are law enforcement as well, so therefore, the ads are knowingly created to be illegal. I’ll provide some examples of good and bad advertising later on.

In this book, you will learn how to go about pricing yourself, how and where to market yourself, including websites and advertising tips, sample calls with good and bad prospective clients, how to keep the best clients, and how to avoid bad or dangerous clients and law enforcement.

    Chapter 1

    Basic Life in This Business

Remember, in this business, you have good days (meaning lots of work), and you have bad days (sometimes you get the day off, basically a day of cancels and no call, no shows, or NCNS as escorts call it).

You’ll get days when people are calling, saying, I’m on my way! and they never call back and never show up.

You’ll get cancellations and last-minute Are you available now? questions.

Or you get a day full of people saying something illegal and you have to turn them away.

Some days are great, and others are frustrating, but in the end, it all pays off!

Try to be available as much as possible, or post a specific schedule so men can get used to your availability.

When I first got back into this industry in my thirties, I started doing this part-time ’cause I had a full-time office job at the time. Even only working nights, Monday to Friday, 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and weekends, noon to midnight, I ended up averaging $10,000 a month. It did take time to get all my clients used to my schedule and to collect regulars, but that was just by the end of a year’s time.

Myself as an example during 2013–14:

In my many years of doing this, this is the rate I have found that makes me the most money. Some girls give discounts for longer timeframes, two-plus hours. Mine doesn’t start discounting till four hours or more. You will adjust your rates as you see fit.

I’m the typical girl-next-door girlfriend personality type. Here are my rates and how I make some added cash:

    $300/1 hour: introduction

    $600/2 hours: proper introduction

    $900/3 hours: dinner date

$1,500/6 hours: dinner, movies or a show, and dessert

    $2,500/12 hours: overnight

$4,000/24 hours: travel or just for fun

I don’t list a half-hour-or-less rate because I like to make friends, not quick acquaintances. And let’s face it, I want to work less and make more.

It doesn’t mean I don’t have lesser rates; I just don’t post them.

If you post your lowest rates or offer them right off the bat, you’ll find you are working more and making less. Guys tend to be bargain shoppers and will pick the best price you offer. As I said, they get what they come for regardless of how much time you spend with them. So why offer your lowest rate first? Let it be a hidden rate you can throw in if you lose them with your hourly figure. Sometimes you can still make something off the client and you don’t lose him or his money.

You’ll get so many calls where guys just ask your rates even though you have a website. They don’t take the time to look. Most men see a picture they like and a phone number and bam! They are on the phone with you, asking questions they could have easily answered by clicking on the link to your website and doing a little research themselves. Argh! Men! Lazy dogs!

When asked my rate, I quote the hourly amount. If asked for less time, I tell them $200 for half hour. I don’t ever offer my half-hour rate first! And my half hour rate is more than half my hourly rate. That way, I make a bit more if I do two half hours in a day.

I don’t offer fifteen-minute appointments, and I never take less than $200, as I feel the men still get what they came for. So why should I take less than what I feel I’m worth for the same quality service provided in thirty minutes to an hour? On top of which, I label myself a prostitute if I’m offering fifteen-minute appointments. An escort is a companion, not a prostitute. You can’t get to know your clients and be a proper companion in fifteen minutes. Escorts have conversations and are entertainment for the mind as well as visual eye candy. You’ve got to ask yourself, Am I an escort or a prostitute? Who am I in this profession?

Remember, prostitutes are illegal. Therefore, acting like one offering car dates or fifteen-minute sessions makes LE (law enforcement) look at you harder. I personally think all women in this profession should be hour-or-more escorts. This practice of offering fifteen-minute or thirty-minute sessions is what gives our profession a bad name. Escorts sell time, spend time, and provide quality companionship, not a wham-bam, thank you, man, I’m outta here. That’s streetwalker mentality. You didn’t buy this book to become a streetwalker, right?

I have set my standards, as should you, on what the lowest amount you’ll take for your time and service. That should be your hour rate (or if you do like me and offer a hidden lesser rate, let it be the least you take for your service). Work your way up in price and length of time from there.

I’ve also learned that by offering packages like a three-hour dinner and dessert or a night on the town six-hour package where there is social activity as well as private time (therefore discounted a little since not all of it focuses on private activity), I get a good response. You can also have a social-activity rate like I did if your client wants time at dinner or a social event or function. My rate was $100 per hour. You can do $50 or whatever you feel is appropriate.

I am at the low end of a mid-range girl by today’s standards, and that’s because, as you know, I love meeting a variety of men, so I try not to alienate the clientele by charging too much. I like working two to six times a day, depending on my location.

And hopefully, with this book, the above rates (or close to them) will become a standard average in the industry again. There are too many girls out there that do not know their worth and are charging low prices and aren’t getting what they could be making. You only get so many calls a day and only so many opportunities to make an appointment. It just stands to show you make more with three $300 appointments compared to three $150 appointments. You will only book so many times a day no matter what your rate is.

    Chapter 2

How to Decide What to Charge:

    A Simple Formula

You know, I never understood the reason women would get into this business and charge a measly $60 per fifteen minutes. I’ve even seen some that offer an hour for that amount. Does she really like to work that much? Does she provide quality, or is it a wham-bam, thank you, ma’am, with a healthy Get the fuck out! at the end?

Why does she want to work that hard? Damn, she must be really tired mentally at the end of the day! She makes about $240–540 a day, but she has to see four to nine guys to do it. Women that do this burn out quick
