      Shattered Renewal

      Love strikes hard

      Like the smithies hammer upon the anvil

      Love dies quietly

      As the world after new fallen snow

      Listen closely and

      You can hear a heart shatter

      In the stillness of the night

      Pain heals

      Slowly

      Love dies

      Quietly

      Love strikes

      Hard

      ****

      Time Kills

      Time has a way of ruining things

      Causing rust and decay

      Crumbling memories fade

      Time and absence make Love wither and die

      Like a vine in Winters grip

      Time and absence--the enemies of Love

      Absence does not make the heart grow fonder

      It causes a hole…A hole which is filled with

      trinkets and other shiny things

      Leaving little room for that which is tarnished when

      memories dim

      Time is no friend to tyrants or lovers

      No friend at all.
