Timothy House

Ohio native Timothy House first began writing poetry as a teenager. As many poets, he began writing poetry to his girlfriend. He quickly found other topics to write about as well with a dream of someday writing a book. That dream became a reality in 2007 when he published Definitions. The book was his way of defining the world around him. The book contained poetry from nearly 20 years of writings. After the book was published Tim grew more comfortable with his writing and began to expand to writing fiction composing music and sound effects to his poetry. In collaboration with Wilderside Studio's in Nashville, TN, Tim released his first album of poetry with these effects and music. It became an instant hit. The Album was released in November of 2009 and at that time Tim was well on his way to completing his next book as he toured all over the United States performing his poetry in cities such as Chicago, Memphis, Nashville, New York City, Baltimore, Boston and many more. In 2010 Tim began writing his first novella Love Notes which was part of a larger project Apollo's Flame which featured poetry, short stories, and that novella. Tim performed one of his signature pieces In The City by The Mighty River while in Memphis. While there he wrote one of his most loved stories Old Man and the Moon. A story of an man who is dying and passes his great wisdom on to others. The story was published in August 2010 and was Tim's first fictional piece published. It was also part of Apollo's Flame which was published in November 2010. Love Notes was published first as just the novella in ebook form shortly afterward. Bookstores requested Tim publish a book with Love Notes and the short stories that were in Apollo's Flame on its own without the poetry so came the first edition of Love Notes. As the new year of 2011 came so came a flurry of new stories. Tim began working a new short story for Poe Fest which was a celebration of Edgar Allan Poe's birthday. The story mirrored the writing of Poe with circumstances of his death wrapped up into a modern day eerie tale of aliens and dementia from being poisoned. Several other stories followed which would become part of the next version of Love Notes published in April of 2011. It had the same stories as the first version with several more stories. The 2nd version has several stories not available in Apollo's Flame. Shortly after the new Love Notes was released Tim completed his latest novella From My Hear to Yours, an enduring love story of adventure and strength through trying times. Their love and great virtue inspires many around them to do good works. This book also features five short stories in addition, three of which were released at the same time as $.99 ebooks. A soldier's story, Tears of a Green Eyed Angel, and Visitor's from Yubarri. As his new books were released Tim is already working on his next novella Pieces of the Puzzle. In addition to a writer Tim is also a musician, song writer, and composer. He performs and composes music in several genre including, rock, country, jazz, blues, and classical. He is currently working on several songs and classical pieces set for release in the coming future.Tim has great passion in writing and while he has received many awards and is nominated for more Tim states, "I don't write for awards nor for glory. I don't write to be a member of a group but rather to touch the human soul. To entertain, to inspire. When you touch someones day, when they grow from your words then this is a far greater award. I believe that art is as necessary as a breath of air for our lives, our souls, and physical well being." Tim's voice for humanity shines brightly through his stories. He is an extremely eclectic writer who has pieces in several genre such as romance, drama, sci-fi, and horror.Tim enjoys hiking and photography and often writes in places on the trail that inspire him.

    From My Heart to Yours

    Chapter One

Tonight was the perfect night, ships gracefully glided down the sound past the golden mountains in the distance lit by the perfect sunset. This park was once filled with a great romance in a place of beauty. Natalie could not see the golden sky or the trees or shore. Just the sand on her black boots, once a gift from the greatest man she ever knew. Natalie just sat on her favorite tree branch that lay on the beach. A hiker noticed her and came up to ask if she was all right.

She said, Yes, my heart is strong now, I was weak by myself, but it still hurts. He sat down to listen to her as she began to tell the story, a great story of love. A story that began in this very park on this very branch with Natalie staring at her boots and in tears, a man came and sat down to console her after a bad relationship.

Just a little over a year earlier Natalie was sitting on a branch in Seahurst Park. Staring endlessly at her boots when an old college friend came jogging down the trail. Edward Von Scott was his name. Natalie...is that you? he said.

Who are you? Wait... Oh my God, Edward. I haven't seen you in years! she said.

Yes, you look sad, but you look great he said stumbling through the sentence. She giggles at his stumbling. I mean you look great, but also sad, he said. She giggles some more and sighs,

Yeah...men, they suck, except for you of course, she says as she laughs, I'm sorry Edward, you just caught me at a bad time, she said.

Yeah, I guess so. Is there anything I can do for you? I hate to see an old friend sad, he said.

Yeah, I'm just really down, she said.

He said, Okay we can talk if you want there's a coffee house over on 116th...my treat. She agreed and they went to Starbucks to talk and talked until after midnight. They talked about old times and her jerk boyfriend who had just left her.

It was the beginning of a great romance. As the night ended and they said their goodbyes neither would forget that night. Suddenly Natalie had forgotten about her bad relationship and could only think of this new guy in her life. Maybe he was just a friend, but he was always the best friend she could think of, and funny thing, the exact same thoughts were going through Edward's mind. Both said simultaneously, We have to do this again They both laughed and joked that great minds think alike.

They both went to college in Seattle but Edward was just visiting. He lived in Nashville. The next day Edward called her and asked if she would like to go to dinner. She had to work early the next morning but offered to cook him dinner instead.

Edward came over for dinner that night. Edward comes to the door and rings the bell. Natalie comes running from the kitchen. Hi, she says as she hugs him smashing the flowers he brought for her. What's this? Oops, I'm sorry and I see you brought some wine too. Thanks for the flowers.

    You're welcome, he said

And they are yellow too, my favorite color, she says smiling. Come in, she said

    He says, it smells wonderful.

They sit down to dinner together and begin to talk about themselves. After dinner they sat on the couch had some wine.

Edward said, I offer a toast to the magic of love.

Cheers, she replies. Magic, I never found magic or any kind of logic in love. I'm not sure I buy the scientific explanation of it either. Chemicals in the brain, she says giggling.

He says, Maybe there is logic, we just don't understand it I think. Maybe it's best that we don't understand, although some scientist with ten degrees will say what ever because they are 'the authority' of everything, he says sarcastically. Come on, it's not like they went up to some nebula and scooped up some stardust!

    Stardust?!? Natalie says laughing.

Yeah, like they know what that shit is made of! They make that shit up and expect all of us dumbasses to believe it, he said.

You are many things Edward Von Scott, but dumbass is not one of them, she said.

Edward made his move, he leaned over to kiss her. That kiss sent shivers down her spine the likes of which she'd never felt before. She had tingles throughout her body.

Wow, you sure that kiss didn't have some stardust in it? she said.

Maybe that's what causes that chemical reaction, he said.

At that moment she leaned over and kissed him over and over like she had been possessed. Edward tried to make another sarcastic comment but Natalie said, shut up as pulled him down for another kiss. Make love to me, stay with me tonight? she asked.

He did not reply, he just picked her up and carried her to the bedroom.

They made passionate love that night, the likes of which Natalie had never had. As Edward became more excited she countered. When they finished they cuddled both thinking of how incredible it was.

    That was unbelievable! she said.

    Yes it was, he said.

She laughs and lays her head on his chest with a big smile on her face. She didn't care if it was logical, mystical or whatever. It was perfect. Just like him. She raised her head and looked him in the eye and knew he felt the same as she leaned over to give him a goodnight kiss. She put her head on his chest, which she never thought was a good pillow, but right now it was the perfect pillow. Her thoughts wandered as he fell asleep. She thought she had achieved a lot in life but this moment had meant more to her than any other in her life. Could she have finally found the elusive love? Could he be the one? It sure felt like it. Suddenly her education, her achievements as a researcher were just 'nice', but falling in love, true love, that trumps all of that other stuff. She felt loved and safe. She meant the world to someone right now, and it was the greatest feeling she had ever had.

The next morning Edward woke to the smell of blueberry pancakes and lattes. Good morning tiger grrr, she says giggling. She walked over to him and gave him a kiss. So, I was thinking before you go back to Nashville we could go for a hike tonight and go out afterward? I get off at 4:00, She said.

Sure, I have some ideas for places to go, he said.

Awesome, see you later then, she said as she left for work and he went to explore the city.

Natalie went into the lab with a noticeable glow in her smile and a glimmer in her eye. The coworkers wondered if she was okay since a couple of days before her boyfriend had broken up with her. It had been a bitter break up with her ex-boyfriend making her feel worthless. He had cheated on her and when she found out he told her she was unattractive and he didn't want her.

Her good friend Janice approached her and said, Hey girl. What's up? You look positively radiant. What happened? You were in tears yesterday.

I met an old friend last night, said Natalie.

Ummm, so is he hot? Janice asked.

Of Course he is... and funny. I used to know him in college. One thing just led to another, said Natalie.

Isn't that the way it's supposed to happen? That's why they call it falling in love, Janice said.

It was just one night, Natalie said.

That twinkle in your eyes says something different girl. The only one your kidding is yourself, Janice said.

    Well maybe, Natalie said.

Janice replied, Um huh! You deserve some good lovin' baby. I hope it's good one. After captain asshole, you deserve much better. I think his ego was bigger than his... She clears her throat implying something else. The girls had a big laugh at the expense of Natalie's ex-boyfriend. Janice gives Natalie a big hug and says, I'm happy for you. I hope this one works out.

Natalie went back to the lab to work though she was very distracted by her thoughts of Edward. She wanted to believe she had found the perfect guy, unlike her ex this felt like a real relationship and not some business transaction. Before she knew it, it was time to go home and get ready for another night with Edward.

She rushed out to the park dressed up. She had hoped Edward was just up to a short walk on the beach and maybe a watch the sunset. She pulled up to the park right by Edward as he was waiting for her.

    Hello, she said. "I'm
