About this ebook

Although Polish cuisine is often associated with meat and potatoes, veganism is slowly but without a doubt on the rise in Krakow and indeed in the whole of Poland, according to Vegan City Guides author to Krakow, Anna Nadia Bandura. Krakow has plenty of vegan options for travellers - as long as you know where to look - and this guide gives you the insider's tips you'll need to make your visit that much easier.

The Vegan City Guide to Krakow contains dozens of detailed reviews of vegan-friendly restaurants, shops, accommodation and markets in Krakow, along with vegan resources and activities, some useful translations from English into Polish to help you get along as a vegan in the city, as well as a link to an online map showing the locations of every establishment listed in the guide.

The e-book features speedy search capabilities that lets you shoot back to the Table of Contents from every chapter heading and jump easily to the websites of listed establishments by clicking on the embedded links. A handy geographical index lets you search establishments by the neighborhoods that they're in.

    Introduction

Krakow is one of the most beautiful cities in Poland. The city has a fascinating history and is famous for its unique historic architecture, lazy cruises on the Vistula River, walking in the Jewish district of Kazimierz and its vibrant nightlife.

Over the years I have observed that the people of Krakow - and Poland - do not know much about veganism and healthy nourishment. Saying I'm vegan might have the same effect on them as saying I'm from outer space. Until recently, vegans in Poland were literally unheard of. However, of late (as illustrated by the increasing number of vegan establishments such as WieloPole 3, Pod Norenami, Karma etc.), veganism is certainly on the rise in Krakow. Personally I find it heartening that,
