Description

As promised we are continuing our series on food preservation! This episode we will be focusing on fermentation, specifically alcohol fermentation of fruits and flowers into country wine. We go over the history of wine, as well as the different styles of fermenting. On top of talking about our favorite fruits and flowers to brew (from pumpkin to dandelion), we go over special steps you have to take for some. And finally we take you through step by step on how to brew your very own batch of country wine! If you like our show, please consider supporting us on Patreon. Our Patrons get early access to episodes, bonus content, and a direct line to the Revolutionary's Garden team. https://www.patreon.com/RevGarden Today we would like to recommend Coffee with comrades, a podcast seducing culture, current events, theory, and action through a radical lense. It’s an inspiring and hugely educational podcast, with more than 150 episodes out at this point. If you want a general leftwing podcast to keep you up to date on a range of subjects, coffee with comrades is a great place to start.  https://coffeewithcomrades.com/ As always The Revolutionary’s Garden is brought to you from occupied duwamish territory. We pay a portion of the show's proceeds in the form of rent to the duwamish tribe to materially support the tribe as well as reinforce their legal claims to this land.

The Revolutionary’s Garden Podcast is a how-to guide on gardening, sustainable farming, food security, and community organizing from a revolutionary perspective. Every other week we will go over a specific food or crop and lead you through growing, harvesting, and storing it. On off weeks we will be publishing a companion guide that details what you can plant and harvest based on your grow zone.
