Love Triangle

Dane was a bit of a gym junkie and trained as often as time would allow. He wasn’t into being ‘big’ as such, just liked to keep in shape and maintain a fat-free physique. He was well-muscled, but a more ‘normal’ size than some of the power lifters.

He’d just finished up using the pin weight machines and was now doing some bench press in the free weights area of the gym. Dane did a set of ten reps, then sat there on the bench to take a short break before the next set. The air conditioning was on, but still he was sweating from his efforts. As he looked about he spotted blonde-haired and petite little Lisa taking a drink from the water fountain. She was one of two girls who frequented the gym that he had his eye on. He’d chatted to her a couple of times, but hadn’t yet asked her out. She saw him, smiled and waved, then went and hopped on a treadmill. Dane did his next set of reps, then moved over to the rack of dumbbells and did some bicep curls.

At the fountain, having a well-earned drink of chilly water, Dane became aware of a presence beside him. He straightened up and found himself face to face with Lisa.

How are you? she said brightly and took another quick drink.
