    A Quick Word

This book is intended as a study into Biblical scripture as it relates to prosperity in our lives. It is also a collection of some of my experiences in life, supported by the scriptures. This work was a strong calling that I felt the need to pen.

Before continuing any further, I would like to encourage the reader to please pray to the living God for understanding of His holy scriptures.

"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost.

    (II Peter 1:20-21 KJV)

It is my hope that you gain a blessing from this work and that it enriches your life tremendously, as my Lord Yĕhowshuwa` gives me the grace to share what He would have me to, with all glory to Him. I hope that it inspires you and points you in the right direction in life.

The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word [was] in my tongue.

    (II Samuel 23:2)

Please note that none of the information in this book can be forced upon anyone. It is solely between you and God. It is my hope that you would diligently seek out what has been documented in this book and that you receive this information in the Godly love in which was intended.

If they obey and serve [him], they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

    (Job 36:11)

    Introduction

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.

    (John 10:10)

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the words money, or rich? Without thinking too much about it, what is your first reaction when you hear the words wealth, or prosperity? What do these words mean to you? Be honest with yourself.

Do you feel uneasiness or any negativity when you hear such words? Perhaps, you feel an almost primal sense of jealousy or frustration towards someone who may embody the characteristics of the words mentioned above.

Why is it that we feel discomfort when it comes to issues of finance? The stresses of making ends meet today have destroyed relationships and reputations, along with the fact that people have come to accept a continued degradation of their lifestyle. More and more people are being evicted from their homes and losing their possessions. In fact, there is a profitable industry that has been created just for the purpose of property repossession. We also see that the majority of the world’s population lives in a standard far below that of a tiny fraction of the world that is extremely wealthy.

Are we meant to live like this? Is it better that we suffer here on earth, than an eternity in hell? Has that not been conditioned into our minds from childhood that, Money is the root of all evil!

What if the world really did not work that way? What if there was a better way, one that could positively transform your life spiritually and carnally into the way you were meant to live? What if one could enjoy their life and be prosperous?

Sure, this all may sound wonderful, but does God really want us to live in such a way? Does not the Holy Bible encourage one to shun the wealth of this world?

In this book, we will seek the answers to these questions, as fortified by the scriptures of the Holy Bible rightly divided. You may just be surprised by what you find.

So, please take some time to find a quiet place, where you can set aside any and all distractions, make yourself comfortable and take some time to seek out what has been written in this book. Validate it with God’s scriptures, according to the context, seeking the Lord always for His understanding and interpretation to be upon you.

You may need to read this book several times to really absorb the information.

We have a lot to cover, so let’s get started!

    What is Prosperity

Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

    (Psalms 118:25)

Before we proceed further, we should address what true prosperity is. Of course, there are dictionary definitions, but what does it really mean? When you hear the word, prosperity, does your mind lead you to imagine dollar bills, yachts, mansions, fancy cars, expensive custom clothing, fine dining, etc?

Sure, prosperity can include these things, but does it comprise entirely of materialistic items? Absolutely not! Is everyone who is rich happy? Is everyone who is happy rich? Are all those who are rich doing what they love to do and enjoying their life the way they were meant to? Perhaps some, but not all.

In our society today, entertainment is regarded as news and stories of very wealthy celebrities and their dysfunctional lives are portrayed over and over again in our media. So, let us take that as a learning opportunity and really examine the situation. Sure, troubled celebrities have lots of money, but they are not prosperous. Sure, they can buy just about anything they want, but many are still very unhappy and unsatisfied with their lives. Many celebrities have no idea what to do with their enormous wealth and continue to seek happiness in the form of extravagant spending and self-destructive practices, such as using hard drugs. This is due to a key factor missing in their lives that they are trying to fill with objects that will never take the place of true happiness, peace and satisfaction in life. Many have accomplished much in their lives, yet they are not truly prosperous. They are just rich.

Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up [riches], and knoweth not who shall gather them.

    (Psalms 39:6)

"Go to now, [ye] rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon [you].

"Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.

Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

    (James 5:1-3)

But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and [into] many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

    (I Timothy 6:9)

Although, this book will cover much, the truth about life is simple. Please keep in mind that this book is not a formula for getting rich quick. Rather, this book is written to shed some light on the subject of prosperity and to help you seek and find what it is that you are supposed to be doing that can lead you to become prosperous. This may be unlike anything that you have ever read. Stick with me and it will make more sense as you go.

Prosperity does not come about by someone being lazy and sitting around expecting it to fall into their lap. It is up to you to seek out what I have shared with you here to see if these things are true. If you find that they are, then glorify the living God that He has blessed you with His precious knowledge and understanding.

This understanding that I came to made me realize that true prosperity is not just about worldly wealth, but really doing what you love, with those you love and enjoying life the way it was meant to, without the stress and worries that you have today. There are people in this world who live this way and it is the only way that they know. The riches of this world will follow as a result of you following what you are led to do, not the other way around. But, always glorify God for giving you those luxuries to enjoy.

What good is it to have all of the money in the world, but not be able to enjoy life? What good is it to have to work endlessly, away from family and loved ones, to toil for others or your own company and never be able to get to a point where you can take time off anytime you want to and enjoy a trip somewhere, for example? You may be rich, but are you happy? What makes you happy in life?

On the other hand, what good is it to work several jobs, yet still not have the means to truly thrive, but instead live paycheck to paycheck, barely scraping by? Does this sound like you? Most of us have been in situations where we have not been able to pay the rent and bills on time, while feeling exhausted working multiple jobs to support oneself or family. Money comes in and immediately goes out. There just does not seem to be a way for you to save or enjoy it. I have been there, too. It is not fun.

So, either way, there are people in this world who are unhappy regardless of their financial situation. This should already give us a clue that money is not a factor in long term happiness and prosperity. So, how do we become prosperous and be able to enjoy life with our loved ones, doing what makes us happy? What is the secret to happiness? For that matter, what is the secret of life?

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

    (I Timothy 6:10)

Life has taught us that even those with money can be unhappy, including those who are in God’s faith, as mentioned in I Timothy 6:10. Note, that the driving cause of sorrows, in proper scriptural context, is the love of money. It is not the money itself that is the issue, but the intent of one’s heart that drives him or her to covet after it. That is when it becomes a temptation and a snare that drives people to follow after hurtful lusts. It may sound a bit confusing at the moment, but please stick with me and I will delve a bit deeper into this further in this book.

Do you tend to go after the money? Do you work hard to try to be wealthy or rich in this world? How far has it gotten you? Have you tried doing this for years and not been able to succeed, but are instead stuck in the same position or worse? If you are reading this book, then you probably have.

If so, ask yourself, Why? First of all, why continue that which is not working? Next, why do you want to be rich? What would you do if you had an unlimited money supply? Would you buy fancy cars, mansions, throw extravagant parties, etc? What would make you different from those who came into wealth and ended up losing it all? What drives you to want to become rich? Do you want to become wealthy so that
